IDK man. I could be classified as a Bo defender I suppose. Kid made one horrible decision and never had a chance.

The good thing for you defenders is that he’s already played the only tough defense in the league this year. So only good times ahead.

The DJ Williams/Tank BIgsby combo could be amazing if we had an O Line worth a damn. Tank has some shades of Ronnie Brown in him imo
Why would anyone want to play for this head Coarch is beyond my comprehension. That #4 would be a Heisman candidate for the Bams if he could break the starting lineup (or not).

2. How talented was that 2017 Defense? 2016-2019 with those DL made Kevin Steele look great. I actually think he is a great defensive mind, but he is also a guy that needs elite talent and we don't have it on the DL anymore. Probably don't have it at corner either.

I like the secondary tbf. Boogs are bad on the OL obviosuly and the DL is never gonna be the same as when we had Marlon and D Brown. that wooden kid looks special though so that's nice. Thoguht Jaren Handy was supposed to be a super stud, but I've yet to see him make a play
The Bo defenders are out in full force. You can’t call the guy average without it hurting feelings. Even Tater is taking up for him and saying nobody could throw the ball in the first half, even though Felipe Freakin Franks managed to have 148 yards.
Thought we might have had a small hands/ wet ball sitch yesterday ala Sean White. I mean it’s a Gus thing but the kid doesn’t look great. 12th/ 14 in the SEC QB rating. Watching some of the other SEC games that’s about where I’d rank him. He might be better than the QBs at UK and Vandy that’s about it. Gatewood is better than him though ftr.
Everyone is good in run support. Safeties are decent but corners are just ok in my opinion.
As for the DL, It’s crazy to think what it would have looked like last year if Brown and co had not come back. Some of the younger guys have shown flashes, but this is not a top half of the SEC DL.
I think “Bo is good” and “Bo sucks” aren’t mutually exclusive thoughts... he’s got more than enough ability to win at this level and he’s also playing like hammered shit right now because Gus has never developed a qb in his life

Agreed. The only caveat I would add is that if we had an OL that we should have, Bo might would be far enough along to be a pretty good QB this year. For example, if you look at what that walkon QB is doing for UGA I don't think its that much of a stretch that he could be doing that and then some for us. Unfortunately, there is no running game and he is running for his life in the passing game. I had a friend who pointed out he missed two opportunities for big plays in the UGA game, but you have to understand that a QB needs to develop some rhythm to be able to complete those passes.
I have never thought Bo didn’t have potential, I just haven’t see him playing above average against good teams. Against UGA, per our Coaches, he was 6-19 against pressure for 51 yards. 15-22 without pressure for 126 yards. That’s terribly inefficient regardless. 5 Star QBs that are going to be high NFL draft picks are typically better at this point in their careers. So far he’s very average at best overall and inefficient, borderline real bad against quality teams. Good news is, as I mentioned earlier, there aren’t any more quality defenses on our schedule this year.
