Boogs v Ole Miss

I can think of like one bad call but most everything went in Auburn’s favor. I mean, Desean Murray had 15 free throw attempts. They were giving AU a lot

They were multiple phantom phantom calls that when they showed at the arena, our guy didn't touch them. We got a couple of calls, but there were some (more) terrible would calls against us.

When Harper and Bryce are on, this team is going to be hard to beat. Everyone else does their thing.

officiating is terrible in college basketball in general... you can’t judge it by “missed calls” because they miss constantly... you can only judge it by consistency, and they were consistently terrible for both teams for 40 minutes

the officiating was awful last night... it was also as fair as you could ever hope for... I’d have preferred a cleaner, “prettier” game - but they were fine all things considered

They did the right thing through that stretch where Desean drew a charge and then on the other end we got possession and FTs a bunch of times. I thought the UT game was much worse officiating.

There was a call against Jared they missed but the others were mostly reasonable. The game has changed to the point where it is never going to be easy to officiate. We shot 37 FT's. Hard to cry about officiating going against us.

I thought the called it too tight early and that always leads to an ugly half with lots of FT's and guys playing scared of another whistle. But in the big picture, we got our fair share of calls and that was far from the worst ref performance we've seen this year.

Side rant, one of my least favorite calls in basketball is calling guys for blocks when the offensive player just puts his shoulder down and goes right into the defenders chest. Just cause you are moving doesn't mean you can't draw a charge. Our guards are excellent at moving their feet and getting in front of guys and we got ran over a few times last night and the calls went against us. This is nothing new, it's just one of those calls that isn't really called "by the book" as much as it's called the way it's always been called...which benefits the offense. Of course Heron might foul out every night if it was called that way cause he loves to get his shoulder into the chest of a defender he can't get around.

This. You have to be in control of your body in order for the other player to be guilty of a block. I've seen that several times with our guards on defense.
