You go, Boy!!! Still got over 100K after having taken out my initial investment. This bitch is hodling
If I had held until now as I wanted to I'd be close to retiring by 35 but I sold a lot at 440. Still made a ton of money and still have some in! Wish I had done a few things different I'd be seriously rich...oh well, still got a sweet ride and tuition paid for haha

Has gone up over 1K today. I took out my initial investment a month ago around 5-something I think. Wish I had waited, too, but hindsight being 50/50 ($1 to Pat Dye) and all.

I think we see below 400 again though. A major crash has go happen imo but I'm sitting out until then.

Very nice. I wish I had the balls to cash any of my crypto. All I've done is throw more and more into it.
Yeah, I feel the temptation but I looked at charts, read books, asked advice etc. I did a ton of research and I truly feel like this is a bubble. It's very similar to the .com crash, we have a truly world changing technology on our hands but it will probably crash first before it becomes a great long term investment and the true winners emerge.

I think a lot of people are going to be left bag holding one day and its going to be sad because people have made really stupid investments in this stuff out of greed. I like buffets quote "be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful"

Lol @ Bitcoin. It has lost over half its value over the past 6 weeks.

When it was like $18,000 folks were saying “I am not selling, will likely go to $100,000..... lol
when it was a thousand and it crashed to 200 for 2 years people had said the same thing about 20....you have a very clear bias that you should examine. It's cool to think "hey that's not for me"

but its kinda dumb to be judgemental of people who think differently...especially when its been one of the best investments you could make in the last 10 years, period.

whether it goes to 0 tomorrow or not, a lot of people have made life changing amounts of money off it.

If you bought at 100 and didn’t sell at $18,000 I question ones greed or mental capacity a little bit. Or they are so rich it doesn’t matter. Do I think it is viable long term? Sure. The people that made life changing money SOLD. That is the only way you realize the gains. I hope for you it goes way back up. I feel sorry for those that bought it to get rich quick because it was peddled as a “sure thing”. You must admit the hype was too much and it created a bubble due the rush of new money.

absolutely.

I did sell btw, but it was more at this level than the peak, which I'm fine with because I bought in very early.

it was FOR SURE a bubble, which I think is shaking out now, and pretty much everything you're saying about how dumb people were about it is true. It just doesn't apply to everyone.

Bitcoin falling just like the rest of the market.

Currently at $6,900. Was almost $20,000 in December.

Ponzi schemes are always great for the early investors.

I'd say the crypto is more just wild gamble than Ponzi, but then again these type of bubble sectors have a Ponzi lean to them too. This isn't "investing" as much as it is hitting the craps table or playing poker for a living. I had a nice run on dumbass micro weed stocks a few years back and paid off my wife's remaining student loans from it. Got lucky not to get stuck with my cash in when it all crashed because I watched it flat for a bit thinking I'd jump back in and then everything I had ever looked at lost 90-99% of its value. This was a bigger version of that IMO. Weed has a legit biz prospect going forward, but the early stock market stuff was a joke. I think blockchain has a market going forward but I doubt the names we know now are the ones that will be the things you want to own when its all said and done.

I love how all the people that own bit coin tell strangers to buy in. They do this so the price is propped back up. But really there is no real data saying one bit coin is worth $7,000 vs 19,000 just pure speculation.

This is the typical BS that gets idiots to invest to support this 19 year old clown. His dumbass should have sold at 19,000. Now his shares are at what, $6,500?
