I'll admit, I don't understand the interest UCLA would have in Musselman. He's a solid coach, sure. But not the star-power UCLA needs in that position. That's a tough job. Not much support, and a lot of bitching. Alford was doomed from day 1.

I've listened to a few podcasts that have covered the UCLA coaching search. Word is Mussleman is a real asshole who does not work well with boosters or his own assistants. None of the "experts" I have heard comment on it think he would be a good fit for UCLA. Sounds like Pitino is a distinct possibility. Most seem to think Hoiberg is the most likely option though.

I'd give almost anything for a season where all we have is a couple of games missed for minor ankle issue type things. Feels like we always have some dude go out for long stretches or have a player battling through shoulder/ankle issues that just hobble them throughout the season and make them miss random games and be ineffective most of the time they do play.
We've just gotten past what feels like eternity in eligibility issues keeping someone off the court. Would like to have a fairly clean season to see what we can grow into.
We are most definitely due for a good run of luck in terms of keeping guys available. The great news this year is that we weather losing anyone other than Harper, Wiley or Brown. And honestly, Harper and Wiley are probably the only two that do things we just absolutely can't replace. Would be awesome to never need our 10 man depth though and just keep everyone available and healthy all year. If that happens, we should go into the tournament as one of the more rested teams given that our key guys are not going to have to play 35+ mins per game.
Well Mizzou didn’t quite pull the upset but at least St Johns lost and Bama is getting slapped. Also noticed that trash bum John Petty doesn’t start for Bama anymore.
NC State sucked it up down the stretch. They started taking quick contested jumpers just inside the 3 point line. I can't imagine how coaches do not drill it into their players that is the worst shot in basketball.
South Carolina knocking off Miss State helps us. State is probably the next team up after us, UT and UK in the conference title race.
