Decent hoops slate today to pass the time before Danjel and the boogs. Maybe SEC can pick up a couple wins.
The fact Nevada squeaked out another game against a nobody, but continues to get the love of the polls just irks the shat out of me. We drop to 12 in the Kenpom. Washington continuing to lose is not helping our cause. LSU finally getting a decent win and uga playing well against a top 25 team should help going forward. Miss St looked really good against Cincy. They have a lot of weapons.
The nc st game will be a fun one for sure. totally different game from what we saw last night. I watched them this weekend and they are a spitting imagine of what we like to do. They run and gun from three and play a mad defense that tries to turn you over. They put up 89 on a very good defensive squad in Penn St. They have not really played anyone this year. Whisky and they lost. Only beat St. Peiters by 30 or so. We will have to shoot much better to win. They play a 4 guard system. They did not look too big. Think I remember one chaulkie with a mini ponytail, or man bun or something that was a try-hard who played in the paint. Wiley will abuse him. Their guards are quick as shat and shot volume from behind the arc. Played at least 10 guys that I remember and all of them contributed. Don’t recall one single player dominating, but they all scored within the offense. Being on the road in that atmosphere is what worries me the most. We are better skilled/athletically at every position except maybe the 3. Would not suprise me if it winds up in the 90’s on both sides. Boogs learn from this last one and continue our path to glory.
Does anyone understand the NET? Our Boogs drop all the way to 15, while that imposter Nevada team barely avoids two losses in a row against inferior teams. Think one game was even at home. Andy Catz gives them props for continuing to be tested and passing each time, but says Boogs kind of get a pass for pulling out a win against a team they should have thrashed. What games are they watching, or are they not watching and that’s the problem. No way in hell there are 14 teams in the country that are better than our boys.
The man is 68 right now and just got another long term extension.

I expect it to look about identical to Kenpom by the end of the year. Nevada probably go way down with their trash schedule as the season goes.
TT is not acting like the stage in NYC is too big for them. So far they are making Duke play their game. Will see if Duke can find a bucket from deep. 0-12 from downtown so far
Watched a good bit of that game. Just goes to show even the most talented college teams can look like utter trash at times.
If your not watching turn on the Buffalo vs Marquette game. Wow two really good teams lighting it up. The two guards going at it and can’t miss. The Howard kid has 33 in the 2nd half and 17 straight points in just over 3 mins. Amazing!
Ended up scoring 27 in a row and 40 in the 2nd half. This after he scored 45 against K state earlier this month. One of the most amazing individual performances I’ve ever watched in a college basketball game.

Years ago, that one guy for Kentucky had like 70 against Tennessee. That was one I remember. And Chris Jackson at LSU had like 60 on some SEC team as a freshman, back when freshman didn't do that. Kid was amazing.

Looks like this Howard kid also scored 52 in a game late last year, so he has games of 52, 45 and 45 in the same calendar year, in what basically equates to about 1 full season. I mean that’s POY stuff right there. And they are a really good team that’s played a crazy hard schedule. All this to say they are one of my early picks to go final 4 on somedoys ass. Oh yeah and they had some big dude who blocked 7 shots last night too.
Looks like I exaggerated a bit. Meeks had 54 against Tennessee, Jackson had 53 against Florida.
That was before Jackson picked up the curved sword and starting eating microphones. Heck of a player.

Marquette playing St Johns tonight. Probably gonna watch a little in hopes Mustapha plays like ass. His #s are pretty solid so far though.

Yeah that kid is a stud. Staph is shooting an ungodly 49% from 3 but I was looking at some of the advanced stats and his are about the worst on the team.

Agreed. uat trashters grinding away at the cats. UK looks very pedestrian. uat has zero chance at the tourney after their shit non-conference play barring a couple of big wins like this would be plus finishing a couple of games over .500 in SEC play which seems unlikely even if they pull this one off.
UK dropping a few games early in conference play would certainly boost our title hopes. Seemed they had it figured out when they beat UNC and I assumed they would come into conference play rolling.
