you sound pretty up to date to me... I don’t know shit - I’ve just got a long, distinguished career of reading tea leaves and making half-assed guesses

prevailing thought seemed to be we were looking at a class of

Murrell
Brakefield
Kessler

then Kessler and Brakefield went poof and now Murrell has as well, which has some Boogs understandably antsy... now, from the far reaches of Boog internetland there are growing rumblings with unexplainable confidence that Green is gonna be a Boog... the question now is, why should we believe those rumblings when the “insiders” were wrong about Kessler and Brakefield... but, the optimistic point of view is that they weren’t really “wrong” about those 2, it was just a fluky confluence of events - and the Murrell whiff can be explained by Green filling that spot in the class, which presumes that other croots and coaches know who’s leaning or committed where

add to it this weird, vague rumbling of a 5 star committed to another school having second thoughts, and little Boog hearts are a aflutter with visions of a rebuilt dream class

I don’t trust any of it... I do, however, trust BRUCE - so I’m not going to write it off completely as wishful thinking, there’s a logical case to be made... I just don’t want anyone “expecting” it to happen and then bedowngrading BRUCE for not signing guys you never should’ve expected us to sign

Looks like the 5* that was supposed to be looking was Brakefield, but he came out and said don’t believe what you hear on the internet and that his commitment was locked.

Man, I'm an AU fan. I have lived my entire life with folks walking late on us with recruits. It's why I have stopped following recruiting closely. I put little value in 'verbal' commitments. I do all of my research after they have signed. I don't know squat about Cooper other than someone signed yesterday and he did not.

Interesting. Def would take but still think he’s gonna pick Ark.

Watched some clips of the other Ark child Jaylin Williams and was not impressed. Im sure Bruce and Steve could mold him into a champion though.

I almost don’t want to say this publicly - but I’m lukewarm on both... they don’t pop the way Brakefield or Omoruyi do, for me anyway

if BRUCE wants to take them and throw them in the dungeon for a year or two - who am I to question him... but if we “miss” out on them, I’m not going to lose any sleep

I'd like to land Chris Moore but I always assumed memphis was the team to beat and not Arkansas. Can't say I've even been bothered enough to watch any "mixtapes" of jaylin williams. So sort of indifferent on him. But he plays a posish that we need at least one other extra body for next season so we need to land someone or start looking at grad trannies I guess.

Memphis mods were still predicting him to Memphis as of yesterday (all three mods)

Little bit of note, but a super recruit named Isaah jackson is committing today as well. Bama was hard after him but I don't see a single crystal ball for him to the Tide at all. Looks like nate oats is 0-3 now on landing their 5 star targets (Watford, Burnett, and now this kid).

Gotta love the kid's attitude and the way he describes himself. Love how he grabs boards and has the ability to start fast breaks himself. Seems to have that super effective (but maybe not the prettiest) skill of finding creative ways to score through contact. Impressive variation in shots down low. Kind of a taller Desean Murray in that regard.

Watched four or five short mixtapes and didn't see him take a 3 once. Has a decent looking shot on him, so I'm sure Bruce and Steven will be able to extend his range pretty quickly.
