No real hot takes but it's something:

*One of the more impressive prospects in the 2020 recruiting class,
Greg Brown from Austin, Tex., is scheduled to take his official visit to Auburn this weekend. Brown, who is 6-9, 195, is ranked as the No. 1 power forward in the class by 247 and the No. 1 prospect in Texas. He plays for Vandergrift High where he is rated as the No. 8 overall prospect in the country. He is making a return trip to Auburn after taking an unofficial visit to the Plains this summer.
Brown had this to say when I asked him about his interest in Auburn. “I love Coach Pearl. He reminds me a lot of my parents. He is intense like them. His persona is similar to my dad’s and he makes me feel comfortable.”
*Coach
Bruce Pearl’s team has yet to allow an opponent to score 75 points during the Tigers’ 7-0 start. The last Auburn team to do that was the 2003-04 squad that finally allowed that many points in an 82-69 loss in game eight vs. UNLV on its homecourt in Las Vegas.
*The Tigers are leading the SEC in scoring at 86.2 points per game and are giving up 66.4, which ranks 10th. Auburn is plus 19.1 in scoring margin, second in the league behind Arkansas (23.4).
*In addition to matching the 7-0 start of the 2003-04 team, this season’s group of Tigers has equaled the 1938-39, 1940-41, 1949-50, 1965-66, 1980-81 and 1986-87 teams for doing that.
Auburn teams with longer winning streaks to open the season include 14 by the 1928-29 team, nine by the 1951-52 team, 19 by the 1958-59 team, eight by the 1962-63 team and 17 by the 1998-99 Tigers.
*Starting with game three at South Alabama, senior guard
Samir Doughty decided to wear a headband and has kept doing it since at the urging of his teammates. In the five games wearing the headband the guard is averaging 20.8 points and is shooting 54.1 percent from the field.
