Bruce giving recruiting pitches in a space ship

Apparently at least one crootin expert thinks Greg Brown leaning Memphis. Damn that no good rotten Penny.

think my mind is gonna explode the first game that Sharffe takes the court. Not trying to get ahead of mysef and there's still some kids to recruit, but what's everyone's predicted starting 5 for next season?

Shariffe
???Justin Powell or Turbo??? But I'm kind of leaning Powell if he's a legit sharp shooter
Allen F
???? Jaylin Williams or maybe D Cam????
Stretch

Obviously some of that changes if Jalen Green signs

Like to think we’ll add 1 or 2 guys better even if it’s not Green or Brown but I’d say based on the guys we got now:
Sharife
Devan
Al
Jaylin
Stretch

could def use another shooter in that lineup but Devan’s J has shown some promise. Al needs a lot of work but he can be that rugged rim attacker. Thought about Jamal but he seems to already be losing ground to the young studs.

I don't know. It's obviously anyone's guess now. I do just get that feeling in my gut that Powell is gonna start just like Bryce did as a frosh *assuming he's the shooter we think he is. Plus he's a legit athlete and has a good handle. I just don't trust D Cam or Al to develop spacing helper 3pt shot between now and next season. Guess we'll see

saying he could reclassify too. My god. I'll gladly drive Greg Brown to Memphis if this stud is legit on the menu
Most definitely. Pretty sure I’ve seen somewhere he’d be the #1 croot this year if he reclassed. No reason for the young stud to stick around HS any longer.

what was the scoop on cliff? (it was behind a paywall)

WHEELING, W.V. – One of the more prioritized prospects this high school season,

Cliff Omoruyi is in no rush to make his college decision. Rather, he had put his recruitment on the backburner this winter but a handful of prestigious programs continue to pursue.

“(My season) is going pretty good so far,” Omoruyi said. “I have been working on my mid-range and my ballhandling but I just have to do some of the things that I know how to do.”

Omoruyi cut his list to a final eight last month that consists of Arizona State, Auburn, Kentucky, Memphis, Miami, NC State, Rutgers, UConn. “Those are the schools that really want me,” he said.

Arizona State: “We are pretty good. I know Coach (Rasheen) Davis really well since he was at UMass so, since he moved to Arizona State, he has been really good to me. He has talked about the way that they play up there and has showed me a couple of videos about the players and how they play.”

Auburn: “It was fun there. I got to go to the football game and it was a great experience. It is nice down there. They have a good point guard

(Sharife Cooper) coming in there, too.”

Rutgers: “It was an unofficial visit, so it was good to see the campus and the new facilities.

“I have been there for some big games. He (Brandin Knight) was one of the first coaches that I saw and got to know whenever I got over here.”

Kentucky: “They want me and they say that they have a point guard

(Devin Askew) that wants to play with me. We have a good relationship. He really wants me to come and has said he would make things a lot easier for me. We play good together, too, from past camps.”

UConn: “They are good. I know Coach (Dan) Hurley and he is a good coach. They are in contact with me once a week.”

WHAT'S NEXT?
Omoruyi is a heavily needed prospect by all of those involved, though his attention remains elsewhere. “I haven’t really focused on that. I am focused on my basketball and the high school season,” he said.

Having already taken an official visit to Auburn in the fall, Omoruyi is hoping to pick things back up where he left it in the spring. “I want to take all four of my visits after the season,” he said.

Arizona State has been the most discussed landing spot for Omoruyi of late, but more work must be completed before a commitment is made. Expect for the top-60 center to use his remaining four official visits and then sign during the late period in April.

Whoever he chooses will pick up one of the hardest playing seniors, an elite rim protector that finishes at the basket and one of the top volume rebounders in the sport.

I wonder if he's still an option. Haven't heard his name much in with regards to AU in any 'crootin articles
Popped up on my feed cus corch Flanigan ‘liked’ it. Thinking he’s a take if we miss on the elite SGs which is basically just Green left.

isn't he (Stone) considered a heavy lean to Kansas? I know that he's been on a visit or two to AU but there never seemed to be much interest on his part.

Not KU, but I think he's a lean to Wichita St which is obviously in Kansas. I believe he also lives there now too

I thought it was the opposite for a while. He was an AU lean, but we already had Powell onboard and have been waiting on JG and others. Not sure now if he has lost interest. At this time I say we take as many shooters and bigs as we can get. Game is all about being able to hit the 3, rebound and put-back or pass it out for another 3.

Haven’t seen anything on the child’s crootment since summer. Seems like we could have had him and then cooled off, focused on the elite studs.

Kid took a nosedive in the rankings but looks good enough for Bruce to mold into a champion. Wouldn’t be mad about adding another shooter.

can someone just post our top 5 recruits that we're going after? It's obvious we need shooters...
