It sounded like he was a student and his source of info was a student manager. Possibly they both graduated and the info well has run dry. But still wouldn’t explain just not posting anymore
For some reason I thought he actually worked in the athletic department (like a job as opposed to a student job) but I could be way off. Don't remember why I thought that.
idk how many insiders or moderately connected guys are on the bunker - but the tone there for a handful of guys is extremely confident

JLee is the least confident of anyone I see picking the Boogs... and it’s not just jhead - it’s the guys you mentioned and a couple others... I have no clue who they are and have never followed anyone on the Boog board for b-ball crootin’ info - but the more convinced they are the harder it is to ignore
if BRUCE pulls it off, it’s the final piece of the puzzle for everything he’s been building... it’s not a title - but the program is built

That's actually a good sign IMO, probably means he was told not to share details.
I'd like to think that AU beat reporters have an inside edge with the info just because Sharife Cooper likes to talk with them and is obviously already signed to the class. It's not like Memphis has anyone in their class or on their squad that Green is close to or anything that I know of. But then again, who fuggin knows. The fact that Memphis dudes all of a sudden got a bit more confidence makes me a bit suspicious that Nike is dropping that bag.
yeah - I think, THINK, Sharife would know better than anyone who works for a team/national site... it’s little shit like Jalen only following other Boog players and croots on twitter and BRUCE liking his tweets, and none of that happening with Memphis, which is admittedly stupid shit to base a decision on

He posted why a few posts down. Nothing specific, just that he think Bruce and Co has done enough and he is betting on them. But also added he could very well pick Memphis.

Yeah, @jslowery @jolivesr and @not an insider have all been very confident about Jalen, and all have had good recruiting info this year.
@AUNaughty7 needs to return and spread the good word.
What worries me about the confidence is it seems it’s just as high with the Memphis sources. Makes me think Jalen is telling both sides what they want to hear. Don’t really think there are many people claiming sources with Jalen or his family. Sounds like all the info is coming from the staffs. Maybe Sharife is the difference. Kinda starting to wonder if the pro aspect is still much more at play than we realize.
There’s so much damn misdirection in this. I’m still holding onto him picking the pro route. Right now, both staffs and players on both teams feel confident that Jalen is going to their school. So, maybe he’s feeding the goods to both sides and gonna RJ Hampton everybody.
I mean, a lot of schools say this once they find a recruit has been leading them on. It was like how UK people said they were no longer recruiting Sharife Cooper when they found out he was just on his UK visit to try nad get BJ boston to come to AU. And like Muschamp stopped recruiting that dude who was Marlon Davidson's teammate when he found out he was just being led on.
So it's likely that they discovered Kuminga was just leading them on and they came out with this shit to pretend they were the ones that dumped him so to speak
Normally I think this means the kid is telling one school flat out "I'm coming coach" and with the other school he's being nice and friendly and saying the right stuff because he likes them and doesn't want to "break up" with them and then they get shocked at the end. This stuff happened with us a lot with Trooper & Luper. Kids loved them, would make it feel like they were coming to AU and those guys would tell every insider around and then we'd be crushed when they didn't come.
I just hope we're the ones he's flat out told and not the ones he's too scared to break up with.

expert amateur psychologist here... to me I think it’s harder to break up with the girl who was your first love, and you’ve known the longest, and most likely told years ago she was the one
it was just as much of a shock to you as it was anyone else when another girl came along and so unexpectedly stole your heart
also - I spent more time than I care to admit scouring obscure twitter references earlier... Memphis guys are shaking their little fandicks about a very obscure twitter post from Precious that basically said “it’s gonna be a good week” - while the Boogs have multiple players and commits flat out saying “Jalen’s coming”
the confidence levels are equal... all of the sleuthing and signals and tea leave reading tells me Memphis is more likely to be confident because of old info
I have no doubts Jalen has told Penny and Mike Miller and Memphis players that he’s coming to Memphis... I have to question how long ago he told them that and how strongly he’s reaffirmed it
after an hour on twitter though - I almost don’t care if he goes to Fresno State or the G League, as long as he doesn’t go to Memphis
I told myself weeks ago to have no hope on Thor, Brown or Jalen. That way I wouldn't need to rage drink in the middle of a pandemic while isolated with 2 kids under 10. So my expectations are already exceeded and I'm now fighting all the positive vibes on the other 2 guys.

Agee 100%, and there was some talk that Jalen’s sister made a comment in an IG live chat that said he ain’t going to no Auburn. Some Memphis content dude got hold of it. Right after these two occurrences were when the Memphis writers started changing their picks.
I’ve been ultra confident through this whole thing, but I’m getting a little nervous now that we are near the end. I trust Bruce 100000000%, but I just hope he does not get scared and make a “safe” decision based on local, or long standing relationships.
Honestly, who knows what an 18 yr old is going to do in a moment he has been waiting all his life for. I almost feel better about Brown because his Dad is going to make a business decision for him and we know he loves him some Bruce.
