2014-16 was bad because of QB play and some awful defenses in 14 and 15. JB Grimes had a minimal impact on those years and I don’t expect him to bring down the program now that we should have very good QBs and a good defense for at least the next few years

Programs success/win or some stupid shit like that.
Well LIGER played men's JUCO softball, so he's an expert analyst when it comes to offensive line coaches. I would listen to him.
Yikes. Next time you attempt to impute the honor of someone’s epersona with examples, try being better prepared than some vague backtracking bullshit and a red herring.

I would agree with most of that. The “2014-2016” reference was more a pointing to our records those years.

I think people greatly underestimate how much Grimes benefitted from the talent acquired under the previous coach, while Hand struggled for the same reasons.

Consistently having an electrifying dual threat athlete at QB would solve a lot of OL issues. You simply cannot expect to win without one at this point. That and DL talent.

The rest just comes down to Gus not being a moron or a situation where we have a black hole depth issue like when KJ went down.

TRUE DAT POLLA!!
I played 27 yeeerz of semi-professional kickball my dayum self!!!
Doc, you want to help me make up a team in the Fultondale league? Had an umpire threaten to throw me out because I was muttering at him from the on-deck circle that he blew the game. Haven’t played since that season three years ago

Basically 2014-2016 all over again, only now we get to watch Georgia take our place as the lone thorn in the side of Alabama, as we stake our claim to 3rd-4th in the West.
I’m not completely against your thought process but Grimes is a better coach and defense/QB play was a bigot factor to those seasons than OL play. And grimes is a better coach than herb imo with toughness and fundamentals.

ABZALOOOTLY HARVE!!!

Yeah but we're gonna kick everyones ass in hoops next year so win-win. Hopefully our boosters become as apathetic about football as I am and start diverting resources where they belong, with BRUCE and his dazzling youngsters.

from your lips to Moloch’s ears... I’ve been saying that for 10+ years, but never dreamed it could actually happen

BRUCE - and let’s not shortchange Gus and the tremendous apathy he’s on the verge of unlocking - may just get it done though

You guys say that but you will al Pacino “just when I thought I was out they pull me back in” it as soon as football shows some life. It’s ok. Everyone does it.

Depends. If Chip Lindsey is running the offense (at least as much as he was allowed to at the end of this season) then we need to be able to pass block. IMO that starts at OT and we seriously need to upgrade our talent and depth there. Right now Troxall is winning the RT job because he tries real hard and not because he's a good enough athlete to block SEC DL. That being said a good QB should put us in the 9-10 wins instead of the usual 8-5.

Huh? How do you figure this? Kid was a highly rated recruit until his injuries. I assumed he has the athletic ability to play SEC ball and isn't just in the race bc he's a try hard.

I've heard this from multiple coaches who have gotten to watch practice.

Damn, you sure showed me, faggit.
