Hopefully there will be plenty of tickets available in Birmingham on sale cheap from deflated updyke fans.

A tough ticket to get ($$$$$) unless one who has no connections or is a big donor is willing to pay a lot to see this game.

I am a nobody but I think I have two. Need two more but Stub Hub prices are up there. I think the bams are getting their holiday money and I understand that--;).

UGA fans have been buying for some now.

Blaze ON BO--Blaze ON!!!

Best UGA season in a long time, clinched early. It’s gonna be a tough ticket and I’m a bit concerned that we won’t have our normal strong SECCG support there. 3 weeks ago we were just hoping moral victory type wins would get Gus the Arky job.

This is true, but if Gus really is "back" then he needs to win a pseudo road game.

I still think this Uga team is overrated. They’re basically what AU was last year before KP and Sean got injured. Fromm is a nice composed, and accurate QB but no one is really scared that he’s gonna beat you down field or with his legs

I don't think Fromm is the reason they can't beat teams down the field. First their OL isn't great, 2nd their WRs aren't getting great separation. I do believe if Kirby gets the pieces filled in around him that Fromm will be really good before it's all said and done.

Yep, their o-line isn't near as good as OBBERN'S for what each team tries to do.

I'm a bit concerned about the nightmare scenario happening. We lose to UGA, then TCU and Wisconsin win with Miami topping Clemson. Saban and Kirby get in and play each other for the NC and the two games we just won are afterthoughts and we can't even brag about the wins because the dawgs beat us in the game that mattered more in the end and the turds won another title so the IB isn't really a great brag anymore.

Please football gods, do not let this happen.

I prefer the following scenario: Boogs beat UGA again. Wisconsin beats OSU. Boogs avenge losses to Oklahoma and Clemson in route to NC. Turds lose to Miami in Orange Bowl. UGA loses to UCF in the Peach Bowl. UAB wins the Bahamas Bowl, and JMU waltzes to another FCSNC.

I prefer turds losing to UCF and thuga losing to MIAMI. But I'm on board with the rest of yore plan.

Largely agree, except to note Wims is a baller. He would be a 1,000 yard receiver in a lot of offenses. Godwin is solid, but never really materialized into the weapon he was expected to be.

I'm also unsure how Nauta faded into the background this year. I'd pegged him for 40+ receptions & 500+ yards this season as the primary play-action target, but he's been largely invisible. Would not be surprised to see him be much more involved in the game plan Saturday, as attacking us over the middle is where we're most vulnerable in coverage. Dinson, as beast as he is in run support, is just bad in coverage. Same goes for DD, who I love to death, but he's beast against the run and a liability in coverage.

I think UGA will continue to pound away with Chubb & Michel and take shots downfield with Wims, but attack the middle more aggressively and incorporate some of our style run concepts to attack the edges and use our aggressiveness against us.

I have used up all my Auburn money on College Station and the Iron Bowl. Gonna have to enjoy this one on The Greg

I'm going to have to ask you to reconsider. Your tireless Boogin has clearly been an inspiration to both Gus and the players. You've Booged so hard to get us this far. Just need you to Boog it hard one last time to get us across the finish line and we'll take it from there.

Between MITS not running point on the game thread and you being Booged out... I'm feeling some negative juju here.

I don’t think Fromm would have to whirly bird himself to the ground to throw it deep like Sean did, but I also don’t think he’s too much of a threat to effectively get it downfield like Stidham. I think he’s fine. Smart and accurate with some above average mobility but I don’t think he’s got the arm that scares opposing safeties and DCs into fearing they’ll get beat over the top

I'm expecting a few QB keeps early on zone read looks too....just to see if they can freeze us for a half second longer on those the rest of the day.

This. There are two ways UGA can strike us downfield:

1) Coverage bust: Dinson being the most likely culprit. He busts a coverage or two every game, but we've been fortunate in that opposing QBs have had their eyes elsewhere the past few times.

2) 50/50 balls to Wims.

Aside from that, I think they could hit us on a few seam routes to Nauta for big gainers. Not necessarily the same impact as taking the top off with a big arm QB dropping bombs to a vertical threat, but effective nevertheless.

I fully expect UGA to roll out a small zone read package with a few wrinkles for that very reason. We may even see Hardwin or Godwin utilized in our speed sweep role. They know they can't line up and smash mouth us, so they're going to have to use scheme to slow us down and open run lanes.

Even though I fully anticipate a much smarter offensive game plan from UGA, having Kevin Steele dialing up the defense is comforting. That guy never gets rattled and (almost) always has an answer for what teams are trying to do to us.

*The almost is of course referencing the fact he's yet to master defending RPO Air Raids, but UGA is about as far from that style offense as we'll encounter. Oklahoma says hi.

It's Jim Chaney. He isn't about to reinvent the wheel I'd guess. He's going to make standard adjustments but I'm not sure he's capable of anything overwhelming.

Good news, gang. I just got off the phone with my son, DARIUS, who I raised right and taught how to run fast. The child informed me he talked it over with Stidham and has decided to go beast mode Saturday on the fast track in the dome.

He's good for 100+ including connecting on two gorgeous haymakers from the Chosen One.

Aye. That's why I hedged it with "small" ZR package. They have to try something, but as you noted, this is Jim Chaney we're talking about.

I'll see what I can do. This is when sucking up to the PWMs would have come in handy, but alas I haven't
