Season starts today right after the Boogs should be celebrating a dub. Kinda interested to see round 2 of Vince Mcmahon's attempt at a football league.

What do you guys think? Will it be good? Is it doomed to fail?

damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. That's the benefit of rebooting a preexisting product I guess. And being backed by Vince

There's definitely a lot more money and hype about the new XFL than I ever saw for AAF.
plus they took their time and didn't rush into anything. Feel like the aaf rushed so quickly into existence that it didn't even give fans an opportunity to get excited about it.

Anyway, two more games on today. Gonna try to watch the second one. Interested to see Bob Stoops on the sideline again

I think they have made a ton of good decisions and probably have made about as good of an effort as you can make to create a new pro sports league out of thin air when we already have a league in that same sport.

I'm just not sure how possible it is to make this work. You will not have the best players, and if you do stumble into one they'll get stolen by the NFL quickly. You have franchises with zero history which just makes paying attention SO much harder for most of us after the novelty wears off. These things almost always look alright for a week or two and then start to fade FAST. How is this thing gonna hold up during the run of NCAA conference tourneys, the Big Dance and then stuff like The Masters. Cause I'm not likely to turn any of that off to watch B grade pro talent play for teams I can't remember the names of.

i turned off the game today before half time. Wasn't bad. Maybe something to watch. But @jeramye is right. It's not going to be able to compete with more established brands of sports in a just a month.

Will not watch. And I’m the guy they need to be watching. Football season already lasts 6 months. Not gonna spend another however many months watching some off brand D list product with weird ass rules just because it’s football. I give it two seasons.

I want it to work because they don’t have to abide by the rules of the NFL

If they can get through the first season I think they can start making a push for high profile college freshmen and sophomores...maybe even some high school kids because the revenue will be there.

Then land a few old guys close to retirement that could play a year or two more left.

Kapernick would have been huge for the league but he is too much of a ghey not to give it a shot.

I’m excited for the possibilities and thought the actual football wasn’t that bad

DC Defenders fan for life

are they allowing kids to come into the league straight from high school? Definitely the easiest way to differentiate yourself from the league and gain some "star" power too. Bc honestly, top 25 recruits are a bigger draw than former wash out college players

I've really enjoyed this league so far. It definitely needs some QBs (McGloin, Murray, Silvers are not it), but I'd expect the first year to be rough in that regard.

I could definitely see some former 5*s that don't get to start by their sophmore seasons and those that just hate school (and those in the portal) take a shot at the XFL.
