Measurables, jersey numbers for 2021-22 Auburn basketball roster

By NATHAN KING

Though the focus is on Bryan Harsin's first season on the football field at Auburn, fans can't wait to get back inside Auburn Arena and watch what should be an improved Tigers team.

With a reloaded roster Auburn opens its 2021-22 campaign looking to get back to the Big Dance on Nov. 9 at home against Morehead State. SEC plays begins for the Tigers in Auburn Arena against LSU on Dec. 29.

“This is the most ambitious nonconference schedule in the history of Auburn men’s basketball and in my career,” Bruce Pearl said in the offseason of a nonconference slate that features UConn, Oklahoma, Nebraska, UCF, USF, Murray State and Saint Louis, among others. Additionally, every team with the exception of Arizona State in the Battle 4 Atlantis early season tournament, which Auburn will participate in starting Thanksgiving Day, has been to the Final Four in the last decade.

Auburn will be without its top returning scorer from last season, Allen Flanigan, for at least the first couple months of its 2021-22 campaign. Flanigan underwent successful Achilles surgery early this month after a non-basketball injury, and was given a return timetable of 12-14 weeks two weeks ago.

Here are the jersey numbers, classifications, heights and weights for Auburn's 2021-22 scholarship basketball players from the team's official, updated roster. Auburn fans can get their first look at this season's squad at the 2021 Tipoff at Toomer's event Oct. 7 in downtown Auburn.

Let's play name the starting lineup for game 1. Big question is how we handle Flanny being out. Does that move JWill in to the starting lineup? @Denim Vest @Fatz Geronimo

I will go with the hope that we are cross-training Jabari at the 3.

1. Green
2. Johnson
3. Jabari
4. JWill
5. Kessler

I could see JWill and Cam splitting starts at the 3 then moving Jabari to the 4.
