It was the worst performance from the defense all season. 346 receiving yards, 0 turnovers, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. Was it just the defense not playing up to their potential or is there some concern to be had of the decreasing TFL's game over game? I was fairly confident the streak of <=14 point games would've continued.

I don't expect any problems against LSU as their offense is fairly pathetic but this is something to keep an eye on going into aTm.

They may legitimately have 3 NFL WRs. That being said, we also got a glimpse at our DL depth. Holland can't go down because #10 couldn't even put pressure on Ole Miss sorry OL. I am concerned about A&M. Mond gets better every week, he's a future stud. Im actually a little worried about LSU, because sometimes we look like we aren't handling motion well.

This is true, but I’d guess the majority of PJ3’s snaps came when A Williams and Tyrone Truesdale were playing DT. He’d probably fair better with the first team DL unit

Do y'all actually believe Cubelic's claim that DD57 has broken FIFTEEN helmets in his time at AU? Surely they're adding in some broken chin strap buckles and such to fluff up the numbers, right? I mean, dude brings the wood, for sure, but 15 is a big number for that sort of thing.

They included during practice so I guess it’s reasonable. Dude definitely uses his head as a weapon when he tackles for better or worse

I think the AU defense could get shredded by a great passing attack. Luckily it doesn't seem to face one, so I think they'll be fine. I think a team like Oklahoma St would give them a lot of problems, but there's very few of those out there

Well if it is true (still not sure I'm buying it), the kid will probably have some major neurological problems moving forward.

But is this Dana's patented helmet they're using? Seems like I heard him say they are imaged and fitted to the players' heads. I know AU obviously was going to be the first college team to use them but wasn't sure if they had been utilized yet. The technology in them cuts down the impact to the brain by I think Dana said 70 percent.
Those helmets cost 1500 a pop so expensive breaks if that's the case.

A mobile QB always concerns me even though we did ok against Clemson. I can't imagine LSU, Ark and UGA having much success against our D.

Every remaining team is a run-first offense. We won't face another pass-heavy attack like we saw from OM again this year. I think it's the worst matchup for us because it eliminates or significantly hinders our defense's biggest strength, the DL, and exposes our secondary in ways no other team will this year. aTm will be the closest thing we see the rest of the year, and Mond is more run first.

With every remaining team, if we can control the run game and force the QB to beat us, we're going to be in very good shape in each game. We don't face a great passing QB the rest of the season besides Brandon Allen at Arkansas.

DD57 is what Tray Blackmon would’ve been had he been able to play under control and somewhatly drop into converage. He plays with a visciousness and tenacity that we haven’t seen in a decade at least. He is such a breath of fresh air. Who would’ve ever guessed that an undersized gimp when he signed would turn out to be the defensive MVP?

My only concern was broken tackles. Had more in that game than the rest of the season combined it seemed.

Our plan was mush rush #20 so he couldn't go Johnny Football on us too often and to bend but not break. Right plan vs OM. Just doesn't look good for stats.

Both UGA and bama will try to take shots on us though, I predict they will especially try and stretch the field against Dean and any safeties/nickels we have in man coverage. Who knows if they will connect, but bama has ridiculous speed at WR (they aren't taking advantage of it though).

My concern is that OM laid out a blueprint that better teams can take advantage of- short/intermediate passes across the middle in to holes in zones. Our D definitely has weaknesses in pass coverage that decent QBs can exploit. Clemson also took advantage of it. I wanted to vomit every time I heard "pass complete to Hunter Renfroe!"

More a problem vs bama. Clemson & Ole Miss has QBs who are most threatening when running or scrambling like Johnny Football. That's not Fromm. And Hurts isn't the guy to pick you apart in those spots between zones really.

But teams will have good plans now and exploit some weaknesses and some things we give up by design. I'd expect less games under 14 points and more in the 17-24 range.

Worst part is if we don't start mass subbing in THE F*CKING 2ND QUARTER, almost every one of those is a pass. I'm still sad.
