Will my boog brothers judge me too harshly if I start calling Bruce, “The Godfather of Basketball”?
Nope

Assuming we stay healthy, this is already a Sweet 16/Elite 8 team.
But I would love to be horribly wrong about Danjel’s ability and for him to elevate us to a Final 4 squad.
If given enough time, Bruce will get us to at least one Final Four.
I’ve been telling people for a year and a half that Danjel is WAY better than he’s given credit for... people just can’t get the taste of his shitty defense out of their mouths - but there’s far more to it than first glance
I won’t rehash it all now unless someone just wants me to - but ability wise he’s top 3 on this team in pure physical basketball ability, probably 2nd behind Chuma... the only questions are mental, and the fact he’s stuck around for so long tells me those won’t be a problem on this squad
People also forget that he had to play the 4, and I believe he will be a 3 all the way on this squad, which should be a much easier position for him to defend. I'm with you all the way.
Sometimes I want to give these guys the benefit of the doubt for having the dementia that must come with covering boog athletics for a number of years.
I thought DP looked like crap in that game me and @bprockman v3.0 went to but also he hasn't played in forever. He looks a lot bigger through his chest area. Bruce has always said he's NBA player. I hope he's rolling time the tournament rolls around.
I think he’ll be one of our top players. I work with one of the wall-ons uncle and he says Danjel is in discussion as the best shooter on our team. We shall see!
Please God let this be true. I believe that it will be true, and I know that we should trust Bruce, but I feel so snake bitten by boog athletics that I have trouble believing it will be true.
I’m with you! It’s hard to be optimistic as an Auburn fan for sure. I’ve never seen him practice and I’m literally going by what a walk-on is saying. With that said, I believe this player is telling the truth. He swears up and down he’s better than Chuma.
it’s interesting - because Danjel’s freshman year he had a few games better than anything Chuma did last year, but Chuma was much better as a two-way player and a little more dependable night in night out
but we were also asking FAR less of Chuma last year than we did Danjel his freshman year, which must be taken into consideration
now, we’ve seen and discussed and dreamed about Chuma’s progress and potential and it seems he’s stepped up this year... but Danjel is 3 years older than Chuma - and won’t have played in almost 2 years... we have NO idea how much he’s progressed... we’re happy at how much Chuma blossomed over 1 summer... if BRUCE and Steven have molded Danjel for 2 solid years, we’re about to add a 23 year old grown ass man to the roster
I think people are skeptical just because he ended his one season kind on a meh and also played bad defense/didn't rebound well. No one should question his offensive skill set though. His decision making and toughness though is still a mystery. The potential is amazing. I really don’t remember much from
purifoy’s freshman year(I was in Egypt that year), but my buddy is telling me that Danjel has the size of Chuma, but a lot better ball handler and is a legitimate deep threat. This all could be an exaggeration, but if it’s not then I may have a bonner for a solid year.
Also comparing DP and Dr Chuma freshman seasons can be a little misleading since Chuma had Guys around him that were light years ahead what Danjel played with during his frosh campaign from a development and maturity standpoint.it’s interesting - because Danjel’s freshman year he had a few games better than anything Chuma did last year, but Chuma was much better as a two-way player and a little more dependable night in night out

Bruce doing Bruce things
Ho hum, just a 25% chance to go 26-3 or better. Meanwhile, Avery at a 70% chance to lead his ugly squad to .500 or below.Love this site gang: https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/team/auburn-tigers/projections
As you can see according to math boogs are the heavy favorite to win the SEC again. No surprise here of course we’ve been saying it for months.
Nova makes a lot of sense to me. The cbb world wants this matchup. Handsome overload between Jay Wright, Steven and the HYGs.I'll hit NYC for that. Really need that fourth team to be strong
From what I read, the first round of games are on campus and the winners go to NYCThat's an 8 team tournament this year. Are they actually cutting it to 4 or are those 3 listed considered the headliners and there will be 4 smaller schools
Reading St John's press release for this year's tournament it sounds like we automatically go to Brooklyn and it's a tournament between the four headliners. We play some combination of the other four teams at home before the tournament but it has nothing to do with the actual tournament. From what I read, the first round of games are on campus and the winners go to NYC
Chalking being a little sour. Should have got footage of Malik hitting on a stewardess.
