Was looking at that score and saw where Dayton gave UVA quite a game. Should be a decent little game for the boogs
Yea I just looked at that one. They look to be a physical team with good length and size across the board. Going to check them out tomorrow against Oklahoma. Nice little three game stretch against Dayton, UAB and NC state to get us primed. We will be so battle tested come league play. Playing 8+ games against ranked teams + the three above and X and Az is a super hefty schedule. The stars are aligned for this to be the season of all seasons for our beloved boogers.
Definitely can't overlook Dayton. We handled them pretty easily at their place last year, but they return 4 of 5 starters from last year and looked pretty tough today against UVA. Will be interesting to see how they play against Miss State next week.
Dayton beating OU on the deuce right now. Would be nice for them to pull this W off for SOS purposes.
Kid is a fuggin stud. He's also purdy good basketball player. All jokes aside, guy has come a long way since his frosh season. I guess that happens a lot when you have a coarch like The Bruce who actually develops his players. Us Boog fans aren't used to that.

One of their potential lotto picks, Garland, was injured early. Out indefinitely and sounds like it's a torn meniscus.
So are we thinking that Dunbar gets the start over Doughty on Wednesday? He’s literally better in every statistical category than Samir except for steals and he’s played less minutes. Will be interesting to see how the lineup shakes out especially once Danjel comes back. Just so much depth and versatility

That's a good question. After looking at their play in Maui against good/great competition, Dunbar certainly appears to be the better option. I trust Bruce to make the right call, but I would love to see Malik get the chance to start a few games prior to Danjel's return.
Once Danjel is back, my guess would be he is starting by conference play. Samir moves to combo guard behind Jared and Bryce and Malik continues to get significant minutes at the 3.
To add to that last post, looking at KenPom's stats now and Malik leads our team with an offensive rating of 136.4 which ranks 70th nationally. Jared is at 126 (180 nationally) Chuma 125 and Bryce 121 with Samir at 113.

those scientists have the boogs losing another OOC game, and I just don't see it happening. Unless they think we lose to nc st. But I'm chalking that up as a W right now
They have @ NC St as the toughest game left on our entire schedule but still a slight favorite. I guess when you compute that with the 99% wins against the rest of the OOC it has a potential loss in there.
That being said we know the boogs exceed science with regularity.
5% to win the title seems low, but I’m sure those eggheads need more than 3 weeks of data to get their numbers perfect... I suspect that will be remedied by January

The computers love NC state for some reason which is great for our SOS. They haven’t beaten anyone of note yet. They play Wisco and Vandy this week so we should find out more about them. Vandy prob can’t give them a game without Garland, but @wisco will be very tough.
