A friend of mine said it was a deposition with Auburn's attorney as part of their internal investigation and if Pearl didn't comply (he's supposedly already twice refused) he would be fired for not complying with the investigation. I believe that is what @wareagle1977 was referring to in his thread about Pearl being gone Saturday morning.

What I was told is Pearl doesn't want to be deposed by anyone at Auburn because he thinks they are going to try and find something he says and hang him out to dry. I don't really see what he could be on the hook for or why Auburn would want to try and blame him for anything that Person did, but supposedly that relationship between Pearl and JJ and friends is pretty bad. I don't see how Auburn can win by forcing Pearl out.

Having both worked for, and been thrown under the bus by, some completely incompetent supervisors in the past, I can empathize with BRUCE's frustrations. I hope BRUCE, his agent, and his lawyers have an open line of communication with Leath.
I can see this. I can also see Pearl having some PTSD from the stuff at UT and being a bit paranoid. Either way a decent AD would smooth this over. We don’t have one of those though.

1 - couldn’t be less concerned about the loss last night... start Chuma, play Davion more, and the defense miraculously improves
2 - if we don’t play Austin the second he’s healthy enough to play, people should be fired... I don’t know or care who, but it should happen, because any school serious about winning would have had that taken care of weeks ago
3 - if ever there comes a day - whether tomorrow, 6 months from now, or 10 years from now - and Jay Jacobs is still the athletic director and BRUCE is no longer the head baskeball corch, I’m going to Auburn and will do great physical harm to Jay Jacobs... and that’s hot hyperbole or internet tough guy talk... I don’t care if I have to wait for him in a church parking lot and beat him to death in his Sunday best in front of his wife, kids, and jesus christ himself
