Think we’re the only team in the history of beisbol with our 1B hitting in the 9 hole. Is it too much to ask for Butch to recruit a muscled up stud muffin to stand on the bag and hit dingers?
Anywho- got the ball in play that inning but still didn’t sniff a base runner. Need Casey to shut this shit down if we’re going to have a shot.
They’ve now stolen 2 bases without us getting a throw off. Nice play to throw him out at home on the next play, doe.
Might as well go ahead and pull Casey now before he injures his draft status any further
Jarvis gets a leadoff single and promptly makes a grievous baserunning error leading to a double play on the next pitch. 3 up 3 down. Fiegl has faced two over the minimum.

I didn’t think he was tired. He looked really uncomfortable. I never would’ve thought it, but it looked like the change in rotation had a affect on him. Don’t know if it was the pressure of the moment or what, but he didn’t look comfortable to me. I also think he made a couple pitches he thought were good pitches that got hit hard, and it was different for him.
Guess I did not miss much being away this weekend, but why the change in rotation? I just assumed he pitched and got beat on Thurs night. How many runs did he give up? Depending on how we do this weekend, and if the SEC T can change our seeding, I would rather not see him pitch unless it is in the semi, or final game.
I can find so many better things to do on a Friday night besides keeping up with Auburn baseball on a James Madison board.......And I'm married with two kids.
They wanted to pitch Mize on full rest. He’d thrown 108 pitches the week before, and Butch thought a big part of his forearm issues last year was him going back and forth between Friday and Thursday starts. Plus, he said their number one priority coming into and throughout the season has been Mize’s health. So, I think they had the best intentions with keep Mize on his regular schedule, but it didn’t work. He gave up 6 runs on 7 hits. They hit two 2-run HRs and 2 doubles.
If I had to guess, he won’t throw much at the SECT unless we get deep into the tournament. And with us having to play on Tuesday now, that means we probably wouldn’t see him until Thursday-Friday.

There's no reason why Burns wouldn't start Thursday right? He threw like 40 pitches Saturday and we can't afford to basically concede the first game of the series again.
We didn't concede. I mean, Davis pitched the best out of all three starters. We lost 5-4, which was the closest game.
Most pitchers don’t start on 4 days rest. If we are going to change our strategy, we need to start Mize on 5 days. That’s what I would’ve done last weekend, but I’m not sure it would’ve mattered.
Why is it obviously tired???? Also, read the post again slowly. I said if the person calling the shots is going to change his strategy, which would be the case if he moved burns from Sat to Thursday, then I’d prefer to have Casey on 5 days.
