OT: Denim's Dozen early hoops rankings 6/21

Rosters taking shape now that youngsters have made their draft decisions official. Time to look at the best teams in the land as it stands right now. Feel free to distribute amongst other elite online hoops communities:

1) Auburn

Austin Wiley is back as the most unstoppable force down low in college hoops. Jared Harper and Bryce Brown form arguably the best returning backcourt in the country. Pair that all up with depth and studs galore throughout the roster and you have the preseason #1 team in the country.

2) Kansas

Kansas just reloads as they return poor man’s Austin Wiley in Udodo Azabuke along with a bevy of stud teens and trannies. Bill Self and Co will surely win another B12 title and be in position to lose late in the tourney.

3) Kentucky

For once Corch Cal returns a few five stars from a disappointing 2017-18 squad. Some experienced talent to go with another star studded group of teen sensations has Catville thinking final 4 run.

4) Gonzaga

The Zags return a couple guys that could have gone in the first round in Rui Hachimodo and Killian Tillie. This could be Mark Few’s most talented team ever with the chops to finally cut down the nets.

5) Duke

This is Duke and Corch K so of course they’re in the top 5. They lose everyone but bring in one of the most ballyhooed FR classes in cbb history including future #1 draft pick RJ Barrett.

6) Nevada

Casino money runs rampant in NV and Eric Musselman’s club is putting that cash to good use scooping up grad trannies and 5*s to pair with a squad that returns a lot from an elite 8 run.

7) UNC

It’s the HEELS and they return veteran stud Luke Maye along with plenty of talent. Losing Joel Berry is a blow but Fr Nassir Little is a readymade collegiate star.

8) UVA

What they lack in actual talent this program more than makes up for in relentless, annoying effort on the defensive end. Top 10 club but has no chance whatsoever at advancing deep in the tourney.

9) Tennessee

After a surprising season that saw UT finish 2nd in the SEC and make the tourney everyone returns to Knoxville. Not enough talent to contend with SEC big dogs like Auburn and UK but this club is scrappy and Rick Barnes is a heck of a corch.

10) Villanova

The Champs lose a lot but this is Jay Wright, the most handsome HC in cbb. Still plenty of talent remains and some studs coming in. If they can pick up the grad tranny sensation from Stanford Nova could make a run at a repeat.

11) Mississippi St

Should be breakout a year in Starkvegas as Ben Howland returns everyone and adds a 5* stud. Squad has all the talent to go from deep NIT run to sweet 16.

12) FSU

FSU made a surprise run to the brink of a final 4 and returns most of the roster. This squad looks like a bunch of 30+ year old prison ballers and play like it too.

13) LSU

Will Wade surpassed expectations in year one and now brings in a top 5 crootin class, stud tranny in Kavell Bigby and returns star PG Tremont Waters. A tourney birth is a formality for this club with the potential for more.
Ok one more because I overlooked this.

Austin Wiley most unstoppable force? Care to post his stats? Wonder how many returning big men have much better number? I can think of 2 on UK with much better numbers, and one in Reid Travis with MORE THAN DOUBLE the averages of Wiley in points and rebounding. Austin Wiley lmao. Seriously wouldn't have an
What a great way to start my Friday off! These type of posts are always my favorite, thank you @Denim Vest and everyone else that made this read possible.
If for any reason no one has put it together, this is also a denim vest account currently viewing an auburn basketball OT thread. All of the likes? Were liked by all of denim's accounts. Your life is truly sad.

I'll let Mr John Calipari answer yore question...

“Austin (Wiley) was terrific"

"Austin was the most physical player at the U19 trials and the fact that his motor always runs were two things that jumped out"

And how about this little gem from big dick FRANK MARTIN

“Holy cow. Can he declare?” South Carolina head coach Frank Martin asked half-jokingly in regards to Wiley’s NBA draft status following this current 2016-17 season after the Gamecocks defeated Auburn in Columbia, South Carolina. “Whoa is he good or what?” I just told him after the game (that) he is real good. It’s scary how good he can get,” Martin said. “Let’s not forget that six weeks ago he’s probably walking down the hallway of a school and now he’s out there competing at the highest level of college basketball. He’s trying to learn stuff that some guys have been practicing for three, four months. He’s good.”

You're a freaking baffoon. There's a difference in being a solidness big man. And a difference in being by far the most unstoppable force in college basketball which AT NO POINT HAS WILEY EVER BEEN. Nice try though denim. Udoka would eat him alive, same for Luke Maye. Same for Reid Travis who is a wayyyyyyy better player right now and next season. Difference in a guy like Reid returning averaging 20 and 10. And some dude averaging 8 and 7. 8 and 7 doesn't earn 'most unstoppable downlow force in CBB honors'.

He's probably not even a top 5 big man in the SEC. pJ Washington had a better freshman season than Wiley. Reid Travis is light years ahead of Wiley at this point. If Wiley played on this UK team. He'd be the THIRD OR FOURTH big man in the rotation. But I'm going to guess fourth considering I bet Montgomery is better. Yet he's the 'most unstoppable downlow force in CBB'.

Done arguing with you though denim as it makes me look like a moron actually arguing with your purely moronic statements that not a single media member in the country 'besides you' is claiming. Lmk when someone credible makes a statement even close to what you said. A couple freaking quotes from coaches is hilariously stupid thing to go by. They say things like that about opposing players before and after every single game they play. And I'm willing to bet those were postgame comments where you see 'coach speak' at its finest when discussing an opposing team.

They didn't go out each's way to talk about a player they didn't just go up against as if it was randomly complimenting a player like at sec media days or something of that sort. In Cal's case it's called being respectful after taking a team to the woodshed and giving them something to feel good about. Nothing any coach said comes even close to 'most unstoppable downlow force in CBB' as if he's Deandre ayton or some ish like that. Honestly didn't know who Wiley was until you made multiple accounts hyping up the same guy.

Better luck next time. You'll be nowhere to be found come midseason denim, guarantee it.

That's a championship? An SEC REGULAR season championship?
And UK has won a title in the last 7 years? Lol

The op is a trolling auburn fan trying to get the world to feel like common knowledge is Auburn is an SEC big dog and the best team in the country next season. Even though UK can now form 2 teams, consisting of 5, that would take down Auburn's top 5. Pretending to be better than UK is one thing, pretending to be the best though and trying to troll around the world to make people believe as if the average fan feels this way? Biggest tool in the history of tools, it's funny because he didn't acknowledge himself as a Auburn fan and wants people to believe they're an SEC big dog even though they'll likely finish third in the sec next season.

This troll hits the UK boards and pumps up Auburn all the time, because he doesn't have any fellow bball fans on his own teams board to discuss with.

Also all the auburn fans in this gm, is denim vest. Pretending to be fellow auburn fans also acting as if Auburn is the best. Played out the final 4 in my mind. And it goes like this. Then includes Auburn and UNC? Lmao. Just no. UK will be the heavy favorite, KU will be a contender though not as good as UK but can win it, the only other team with a chance is Nevada. Those 3 are the only 3 teams that can realistically win it next season as all three teams are great and are head and shoulders ahead of the rest the field.

Ok one more because I overlooked this.

I can think of 2 on UK with much better numbers, and one in Reid Travis with MORE THAN DOUBLE the averages of Wiley in points and rebounding. Austin Wiley lmao. Seriously wouldn't have an idea as to who that was if it wasn't for auburn fans mentioning him so much. Poor man Wiley in Udoka? HAHAHA, Udoka would tear Wiley a new one man, he wouldn't stand a chance against Udoka the 'poor man's Austin Wiley'

First Auburn is no Blueblood... More like a megenta blood... Second I thought it was obvious but let me clarify... National championships are what matter to REAL blue bloods. Not conference tourney's or refugular season. Heck UNC doesn't even hang a banner for final four appearances. That's expected; can Auburn say the same thing?

If UNC gets it pg situation figured out they will absolutely contend. All the publications have abnointed dook. But only one of their super frosh can hit the broad side of a barn when shooting past 18 ft. That is going to be a problem. UK in my opinion should be no 1 though.bthwy have ALOT of returning talent. If any of the guys coming back can develop a mid-range game as bigs they will be deadly. Teams with realistic chances to win it... UK, KU, Gonzaga, Nevada (not sure about KU since it has already been proven they paid for players services.wondwr if they play in tourney this yr.) Does Auburn escape the NCAAS gaze? We shall see.

Okay how many national championships for basketball has Auburn hung up in their gym?

S

The same has been that won the 2017 national championship? That has been? Tell me how many national titles does Auburn have in bball men's not women's, tell me how many final fours does Auburn have? Elite eights? I take it back your not even magenta your a green blood...

The time is now... Lmao you sound d like NC State fans begging for relevence in something... You can't beat Alabama in football, you can't beat KY in basketball CONSISTENTLY. And you talk about the time is now... The time is never; as in you will never be a blueblood, never win the babll national championship, and Bruce will NEVER beat Roy.
These old fellows here seem incredibly insecure about BRUCE dragging his massive Hebrew Jack Johnson all about their faces and mouths. Don't worry, gents. There's plenty to go around.

Can't wait to see the most HANDSOME team in all of sports temporarily hang a banner commemorating another Natty before taking it down after a week so the boys don't get complacent.

Hello again my big blue bitch... that seemed like a reasonable stance I'm sure, but you again failed to conduct any simple research.

These were actually comments from CALIPARI the GREAT after a game in which CAL was AUSTINs coach while they were winning trophies for our great Nation. Thanks for continuing to play, but you get more and more wrong with every response.

When the Greg was conceived I found a home. Then Jesus sent you to me so you could tell me about "solidness big men." This is how I know there is a God.
