OT: Gang, we have entered everyone's favorite part of being a boog - coaching fire/hire rumor mill

If we retain Gus, and hire Freeze as OC, I hope they use his 2 million dollar donation to the football only facility to erect a giant sculpture with the names of his fall guys.

2014. Eliis Johson
2015 Jeremy Johnson
2016 Sean White’s shoulder
2017 Kerryon Johnson’s shoulder
2018 Chip Lindsey
2019 TBD

It could get so bad that Curt Schilling would laugh at Auburn’s business decisions.

I’m drawing a blank on what the word or phrase is but is he one of the best at deflecting for his own survival

he's already floating the narrative out AGAIN that this is a young team. Pointing to the freshmen class doing well and trying to create the idea that next year is gonna be special or something. He's always got an excuse. But most coaches do too

We’re going to get that year 7 bump and win big if they’ll just give him one more shot.

New freshman QB, freshman skill players, bringing in Hugh Freeze...the stars are aligning for him to get three more years with all the excuses he’ll have lined up

We gone need to erect a big fat BLUNT or at least have a dime bag reference up there somewhere.

I think any boog fans dreaming of Brohm probably need to cancel that fantasy now.

Brohm is going to take that Louisville job and we aren't going to have an opening, BUT if we both had openings do you really think someone takes the Louisville job over Boogville?

Guess it depends on the person but Scott Frost turned down UF to go rebuild Nebraska. Chip Kelly turned them down too. Louisville would pay him just as much as the Boogs would imo

Future is bright guys
Yeah I bet he is excited knocking down over 580G's per game or over 20G's per day depending on how ya choose to break it down. All while sucking at every aspect of the job from game planning- play calling- clock management- in game adjustment ability- to recruiting- player development as well as talent evaluation and on and on.

It's just fuggin utter ridiculousness week in and week out and it's got my ass russult as a fuggin lumberjack with rocks in my boots!

I think he’s a Pharisee/hypocrite first and foremost. But as he relates to AUburn, he’s been a snake oil salesman.
He’s mastered the art of self-preservation. That’s the phrase I was looking for.

Who knows what some of these huthut coaches are thinking but personally I’d want nothing to do with the boog job. Guess it depends I mean getting $30M+ guaranteed would be nice. Then again look at Lane he’s making a mil/ yr in S FL to go fishing and play on Twitter everyday. They’re just happy to have him bring FAU some attention. Sounds pretty sweet.

Does Space Funk Booty post here? If somebody can verify that he does, I want to tag him and ask him to share a post he made on tbb. It was basically a collage of quotes/lies/broken promises made by derptard since the pseudo 2013 results. Was hilarious and of course fell off page one almost immediately over there.

Stole this and posted on 247. Probably won't get any bites, but worth a shot.

It seems that some are convinced Hugh Freeze is going to be the OC next year and that we're putting all of our eggs in the Kelly Bryant basket, just like we did with Stidham.

I think it's foolish to gamble on Kelly Bryant because I don't think he's a good fit for our offense now or for Freeze's offense because I don't think he's a great passer. I think we'd be better off trying to find a solid passing QB that's looking to grad transfer to couple him with Freeze and let Nix RS as a freshman. IMO Bryant's best trait is his running ability, but I think Gus is afraid to run with QBs now because he has no real backups (maybe that's different with Nix on campus) and doesn't want to risk injury to his starting QB. And if that's the case, then bringing in Bryant doesn't make much sense to me. If he comes here, you have to commit to an offense that significantly involves the QB in the run game, and I don't think we will do that.

But, I also think Gus has to win pretty big next year to preserve his job for another season, which puts him in a spot where he probably can't afford to put all his hopes on TRFR Nix and has to take an older QB.

The other problem is that the reason the 2013 offense was so successful is that we had a really good OL and a great blocking full back. We will have neither of those things next year. The fact that Gus is even pursuing Kelly Bryant shows how incredibly stupid he is, because like you said we would need a passer to utilize a guy like Freeze.

Stidham said he’s not going through senior day. Leaving the door open I guess for him to return but I still think he’s gone
