Oh look, another tard who thinks he is a comedic genius because he can post pictures on the internet

What you describe is better than a group of tards who are so fixated on turning Gus Malzahn into the devil that they take a strictly anti Georgia thread and turn it into a pro Gus thread through their own warped lense

Gus has lost 4 or more games in 5 of 6 seasons as Auburn's head coach. He has lost 5 or more in 4 of 6 seasons as Auburn's head coach. In 3 of his 6 seasons at Auburn his teams have finished .500 or less in SEC play. There is a reason why some on this board are not "All In" with Gus and the facts I have presented contribute to that.

You bring up "cheating" when it comes to UGA, but UGA has recruited at a high level way before Kirby got there. In 2006 Georgia finished 3rd nationally in recruiting. Matt Stafford came to UGA from Dallas Texas, Knowshon Moreno is from New Jersey, Naderris Ward is from Oakland California, Akeem Hebron was a recruit they signed out of Maryland that year. The 2009 class finished 4th and had guys from all parts of the country, same with 2015.

UGA has always recruited at a high level and had a consistent footprint in the top 10 under Mark Richt. Richt recruited all over the country contrary to your belief. Why is UGA recruiting better now? Well, they have a better coach who like Nick Saban has surrounded himself with outstanding recruiters. Smart took over a program that was consistently in the top 10 prior to his arrival, so those of us who aren't ignorant understand the program with the right coach could compete at a higher level on the recruiting trail without accusing that coach of cheating. I'll give you a pass on this thread and let you claim ignorance.

I don't give a phuck about Gus. I dont think I mentioned his name in this thread..

I saw a stat that pointed out the entire eastern division had 24 five star recruits and 22 of them were at Georgia. That is about 90 percent. Georgia has not always recruited like that

Most of these sites only hand about 30 five stars a year. If Georgia has 22, that means they are getting around 20 percent of the five stars by themselves. That is a lot for a football program that hast won a national championship since Jimmy Carter was sitting in the White House

Georgia has always recruited well. Georgia also has a bigger history of cheating than most people think. David Pollack basically admitted they cheat live on.ESPN a few years ago. This was back when Richt was coaching.

Their football and mens basketball have both been on probation more recently than Auburn football.

Georgia just named their field after Vince Dooley. That might not seem like a big deal until you realize an actual Georgia English professor called him out for cheating in the early. 1980's. A huge controversy followed that made him and Georgia look pretty terrible

Meh, let's say 30 per site, with i'm guessing about 10-15 of those end up as consensus 5*, so that's potential total of 60-70 kids each cycle with a 5* rating.
Don't get me wrong, 22 is still a big piece of the pie, but still not sure that shows they are blatantly cheating. Seems like there are always programs that 5* kids gravitate UGA maybe experiencing that at the moment. Also I tend to care less about landing 5 star kids, especially those on offense, because of the poor track record our current staff has with developing them.

I might not fit on this board because the **** tards here are apparently so dumb they have taken this thread as pro Gus...which it was never intended to be.

This thread was simply a statement that Georgia's cheating had become so egregious I don't see how anyone could ignore it.

The only way said cheating could be more obvious to me is if Georgia put up a neon sign confessing said cheating

If people here still don't give a phuck, then feel free not to give a phuck

I don’t speak for everyone - well, I might, who tf knows - but the issue you’re running into isn’t that this thread is perceived as pro Gus, it’s that this thread is perceived as anti-cheating

who gives a fvck about cheating in college sports? I don’t care if every school is going 80 in a 70 and Kirby is going 130 in a 70... if he can do it and not get caught, good for him... that anyone gives even the slightest iota of a shit about cheating in college sports is laughable and they deserve to be mocked mercilessly

You seriously ask who cares about cheating? Plenty of people still cry about Cam Newton 10 years later

and if you give a single solitary fvck about that, that’s a “you” problem, not a “them” problem - not a “me” problem - not an “us” problem

that it bothers you rather than brings you untold joy is a sad statement on multiple levels - not the least of which is, quite frankly, your life in general

sorry you had to find out this way, but now at least you’re aware that you’re acting like a goob

A casual ranking:

1A. Dark, brooding, spiraling into an abyss of despair over boog sports @Fatz Geronimo.
1B. ZFG, cut to the bone @Fatz Geronimo.

I do care about cheating. I care that several douchebags in the media would at least be sniffing around trying to get Auburn on probation if we were recruiting on Georgia's level.

I care that Georgia goes relatively scrutiny free because the shit stain that passes for media is dumb enough to believe only a small handful of schools cheat

I care that even Bama is viewed by the media as a school that doesn't have to cheat despite their numerous probations

It puts Auburn at a disadvantage when your recruiting comes under a microscope if it becomes too good, but some of your main rivals don't have this problem

Screw what you think is embarrassing. College football is almost fixed. If anybody outside a handful of teams recruit at a high level, the media or NCAA will at least attempt to bring those teams down. I am not the only fan who believes this...not the only Auburn fans who believes this

Here’s some truths.

1. The media loves “Blue bloods”. It makes money. They love the occasional Cinderella but it has to be the right Cinderella. They love the occasional upset but do not want it long term. The love for UA, USCw, OSU, Michigan, Fla, ND, Texas, (insert major media market or fan base) is palpable.

2. The media loves to push schools that help legitimize those Bluebloods. Some years it has been LSU, AU, and now it’s Georgia. They have been good enough at times that UA didn’t have to beat anyone all season but that one “good team” to get in the mythical NC race. Hell the year they leaped to the playoffs without even winning their division, they lost what was their toughest regular season game scheduled that year and was rewarded with not having to play a conference championship game. Football is not fairness, it’s about $$$

3. Forget the media, ncaa, and whoever else you want to throw in there for a second, the State of Alabama will never allow AU to be on the same level as UA year in and year out. AU will only be allowed to play the occasional spoiler. It’s just bad politics. Hell AU will never allow itself to succeed. The PTB cannot help themselves and end up destroying it from the inside. They prefer to be the power behind shit show so that they can play big man on campus. They would never stand for being told to shut the hell up and get out of the way. Losing apparently hurts more in GA than it does at AU at the moment.

4. Hating on AU = $$$ from UA fans. Pumping up UGA = $$$ from UA fans reading and fearing this fictitious long term rival.

+++++

oh, nevermind... I see what we’re dealing with here and I apologize for being unreasonably harsh earlier - although everything I said was true and came from a place of love

it’s never fun to see an idealist smacked in the face by the cold, hard truth... have you, until recently, been operating under the assumption that college sports are a legitimate competition?

that’s adorable

college football isn’t almost fixed - it’s fixed...
so is college basketball...
so is college baseball...

so allowing any of it to actually affect your life beyond the enjoyment and entertainment you get from watching the games - and the enjoyment you get sharing a few laughs here or with your buddies - is pure, unadulterated lunacy

I disagree that college basketball is fixed. It is the easiest sport for Cinderella to be successful. Numerous Cinderella's have made the Final Four in recent years, including Auburn last year. Some Cinderella's like Gonzaga have had so much success they are not Cinderellas any more.

that’s true... but the concept of a level playing field doesn’t exist... there’s no salary cap, or draft... teams have advantages - some built in like proximity to talent hotbeds or state lottery scholarships or the conference they play in, and others because of an apparel contract or AAU connections or they’re just desperate or willing enough to waste more money

a college basketball game might not be fixed, but overall competency is not equally rewarded... that’s not the way the system is setup in college athletics, so no need getting too torn up over it

Oh yeah, I love the deranged idiots who probably have a dart board with Gus' face on it hanging over their bed telling me not to take sports too seriously. Now that is something to truly laugh about

Lulz, know your audience sir. One should know if you're gonna roll into the @Greg with this whiney baby BS that you'll get this kinda response. If you want hugs and adoration for this tin foil hat stuff you may want to head to TMB. There are plenty of guys that will opine on the lost innocence of the college game and how guys like Kirby Smart taint the whole institution. Sally forth my friend!

I am not whining about shit. I don't have a problem with cheating if you can get away with it.

I just don't see how bowl cut can get away with it. Georgia getting 5 star recruits from coast to coast seems too obvious to me.

That is why I bring up the comparison to Hugh Freeze. A guy that not only cheated but made it so obvious he eventually got taken down.

I guess we will see how much longer Kirby can get away with it.

I also have way too much confidence in myself to need adoration from internet dorks.
