The whole conference is a dumpster fire.
we'll see. If A&M gets Jimbo, then what an upgrade. But there's no doubt that MSU and Ole Miss will go back to being fuggin terrible. We'll see what happens with Arkansas.

UF definitely upgraded. Kirby and Moose are solid. Doubt tennessee is able to even get anyone decent on the phone now.

It’s just fallen so far from where it was just a few years ago and continues to plummet. UT is dead for real. Miss schools dead. Ark dead. UF meh. Still have Ed Orgeron at LSU. Had easily 10 legit programs now down to 3-4. TAMU may still have hope. Even Vandy and Mizzou were decent not long ago.

true. It's all pretty cyclical though. Mississippi and Miss St used to be trash and now they're back to being trash. UF, UGA, UK, and USC are all better. I still think UT will find someone better than Butch Jones. We'll see what happens at Arknasas but I'm guessing they'll find somoene better than Bert. He was just a moron

With all the coaching vacancies and Ole Miss taking the NCAA hit, this makes sense. They'll give it 2 maybe three years and throw money at a better coach.
Yeah they’re fugged. Just funny trying to sell it knowing he sucks and all the fans are depressed.

this is getting absurd

It’s pretty outrageous. The internet neutered their AD and now you have people trying to take over his job. Clay Travis is taking credit for the shitstorm and is threatening to do it again if they try to hire someone he doesn’t like. Pretty crazy
I gotta think they’re gonna owe Schiano a lot of money. I get being pissed about the hire but the whole Penn St/ Sandusky angle is totally outlandish. Guy has never been legitimately implicated there.

There was an SI article this morning that said it’d probably cost them around 4-5 million if Schiano actually wanted to sue them. I imagine they’ll settle for less bc it’d definitely be the end of his HCing career if he actually decides to sue a school.

Either way, costly mistake by the AD and that dude probably should get canned

My lord. This AD is such a joke. Was basically saying that he wanted to hire one of his buddies.

Guy kinda has a point. I mean I get the strong dislike for the hire but it wouldn't have been nearly as bad as it was made out to be. References from Urbs and Belicheck is pretty legit.

Meh. I think he’d be kind of a disaster but we’ll never know. I think his management style works well for the type of players you get at Rutgers and the like. I really don’t think he’d be a good fit at Tennessee
