Would person go from a$$hat to hero if somehow it ended up that the players involved were bama players and not boog players? I know this isn't possible but that would be hilarious.

well, I mean there’s proof that at least 2 of our guys are involved... but my anger at Chuck will depend on:

does BRUCE get fired?
how many games do our guys miss?
can we coax EJ back into the fold?

he’s a dumbass - but I doubt he had any idea he was doing something criminal... telling a players family to invest as much of their future money as possible with a guy he barely knew and turned out to be a crook is indefensible - and unforgivable... but in light of recent developments I’m withholding full JJ/Gus level rage until the hammer drops on BRUCE and/or our hulking youngsters

his mother played for our country - and considering the current climate, who am I to besmirch the good name of a woman who proudly wore our flag in Olympic competition?

plus, they’ve had Austin’s developmental schedule mapped out for years... taking money from some guy they’ve never met, days/weeks/months into Austin’s college career, strikes me as an illogical step in that schedule...

it makes all the sense in the world for Danjel... it makes no sense for Mustapha or Austin considering everything we’ve heard about their families and the way things are run

disclaimer: while I have EA level critical thinking skills and perception abilities - I’ve never met any of the people involved... and college basketball is FIFA/IOC level dirty - so I won’t be “surprised” if the entire program ends up burning to the ground... I remain highly skeptical of Austin and Mustapha’s involvement for now

Ok so the admin guy that bama "resigned" was previously the assistant director of enforcement for basketball development, and also the associate director of amateurism certification at the NCAA.

Soooo, likely chance bama won't face much from this as pertains to the NCAA, due to optics. This is Pearl's get out of jail free card IMO.

There wasn't anything confrontational about what I said. I simply said that CBP had a chance to turn the job down if he thought Chuck was going to sink his ship. You guys were acting as if a gun was to his head. If he thought he couldn't succeed with Chuck, he did have a choice to bounce, (though of course, I understand the general sentiments and complications of having a staff member selected for you).

the only benefit was the chance to re-read some of my/our collective thoughts and see how much I/we nailed it in regards to this teams ability to compete even without Austin and Danjel...

very little concern with how this team would and could perform... only concern with keeping BRUCE...

the EA shines brightly compared to other hacks on the net...
