OT: The Ryder Cup

Kind of like the gear this year except for that last one where they tried to go halfsies. I think that look is terrible. Might get me one of those white polos with the blue collar and deep neck. Sexy shirt.
I like the Navy shirt, the pullover and the puff jacket. I saw those(puff jacket) and it has a big USA on the back. I’d say that could go but as a Dem, my ratings would fall.
I like both navy polos. Not a fan of the jackets. Like the pants but i'd have to see them in person. Bigger fan of navy polo with horizontal stripes though
@Denim Vest explain to me these pairing decisions from team Europe and help me understand how this won’t be an absolute bvttfvcking
1) Rory and Oleson. Oleson is the statistically worst driver on the team playing with Rory who slap dicked it all over East Lake and changing swing coaches. Oleson also shot 72/77 and went and ate BBQ his last tournament on this course
2) in FOREBALL you put out a kid who makes the least birdies of any player on both teams (Hatton)

Definitely agree. Anything less than 3-1 after the 1st sesh would be disappointing. Rose/ Rahm is the only 4ball team that looks strong. Can’t believe he’s not sending Poulter out there.
Or Sergio. He may be a douche and he may have 3 bogeys. But he also is gonna have 5 birdies. Just don’t understand their teams at all

I told a buddy earlier today, we are on their soil, so they are the faves. But who do you bet against in these matchups?? BK and TF are the only option. And BK won two majors this year and TF has been the most consistent golfer in the world the last 6-12 months....nothing ever goes as planned. But we should dominate!
I'm just going to assume the Europeans know something we don't, as they have handed us our asses lately.
That being said, I'm legit considering getting up early AF to watch as much as I can before work.

Ricky in the drink off the first tee. Eurocrowd fired up. Not feeling good about this start.
Update: Sergio splash on 2, so that’s good. Ricky is an unmitigated disaster on 1. Gonna have to pick up. DJ just laid up from 157. Not sure how much longer I can stay up for this.
Update 2: DJ just put it in the drink after laying up on a par 4. Finau looks like a homeless Olympian and left a 30 foot birdie putt 12 feet short. I need some Tiger.
Update 3: Ricky Johnson just combined for 8 shots on 1 and didn’t get on the green. Finally waived the white flag. I’m sure they’ll do just fine on #2 hitting into the cold wind over water.
Update 4: Patrick Reed looks like a homeless douche and just hit his 1st tee shot in the third rough. TIGER SPLITS THE FAIRWAY.
UPDATE 5: Casey in drink and Hatton in sand on 2. Opportunity for DJ to step up. Nope. In the drink. But Ricky got his head straight and put one on the green. Oh shit. Coach K spoke to the team last night. Fire up the jet and get BRUCE to a Paris ASAP to get this back on track.

Update for the 2:05 am crowd: Tiger missed his birdie putt on 1. I’m done for the evening. My live viewership is helping the good guys as much as Phil being there, so I’m going to get some sleep. Predicting a 2-2 split for these four-balls. I like Tiger/Reed and Spieth/Thomas. Hopefully Ricky gets hot and can help tie it up.

Gang I hate to do it but I put this Ryder Cup debacle squarely on Tiger. He’s the Ryder Cup rake. Had a feeling Fleetwood would be a stud.
He’s not playing well for sure, but it’s like these dudes getting paired with him are so got dam intimidated that they can’t get off the tee
Got invited to play by an old buddy I haven’t seen in a while this morning at the local muni. Tee time 9:00. Get here to find out that it is a fuggin SIXSOME and there are two of us here 15 minutes before we’re supposed to tee off. Think I might just leave.

Yeah I haven’t been able to watch much but Reed has been the stud of all stud Ryder Cuppers and they blow a 2 up lead to get Fleetwood/ Molinari and really all of Europe going as the only first sesh squad not to win. Then they get run this morning. Getting run with his boy Bryson now. Pretty bad.
Whole squad looks like trash can’t make a putt from what I’ve seen but 0-3 damn. Haven’t won a Cup with Tiger since the 90s.
