OT: The Ryder Cup

It’s due to the Nike sponsorship right? I couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t wearing one and figure that had to be it
I don’t think so. Think he just naturally prefers not to wear one and there are no sponsor requirements at the Ryder Cup. Probably only wears one at tournaments bc Nike requires him to

This is fuggin sad. Oh well guess I don’t feel bad about missing most of it now.

Just put money in fleetwood and molinari. Probably dumb but they’re just too fire right now and though they were good matchups

This all royal blue outfit that euros are sporting is pretty fuggin gross. Don’t deserve to win dressed like that

Disgraceful. Kudos to Webb Simpson for showing up. JT too and Finau for thrashing golf Jesus in singles. Rest of the squad was an embarrassment with Tiger and Phil being the worst.

Is it an over simplification to say American golf values distance off the tee and European golf values accuracy off the tee and that's why we almost always get roasted in Europe?

Finau was finaumenal today. Webb too. Tiger and Phil should have just stayed home. Sucks. You expect those guys to show some emotion and be leaders. Most of the US squad looked like old jet lagged tourists on their way to a river cruise. Gotta tip my hat to JT, though. Dude played well and looked like he wanted to be there.

In defense of Tiger, he probably played too much at the end of the season. A year ago he had major back surgery, and probably wouldn't have played so much down the stretch if he hadn't been in contention.

I don't know. I do think that Europe values match play more than the US does. They grow up playing it more and the it's clear that being a Ryder Cup hero is more meaningful to them than it is for the US as well. I mean, you can tell that guys like Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson really don't give a ****

I feel like Europe always gets to play the underdog role and they seem to have more guys that don’t get it done in majors so this is sort of a chance to take down more decorated players. I’d definitely say the courses tend to favor the home team a bit too. All these guys play in the states now but the European tour plays big tourneys at their RC venues and they do have more familiarity with the conditions. Still it’s a joke the US hasn’t won in Europe since 93 and Phil/ Tiger’s career RC records are inexplicably bad.
