OT - TV shows

Hang in there with season 2. I promise it gets better, and season 3 is awesome too. They really start doing more with the sci-fi aspect of the show. The series is based on a Philip K Dick novel (Blade Runner) and executive produced by Ridley Scott.
They’ve gotta be way past the novel by now and into their own material. The book is okay but it’s absolutely not something rich in character and story like a game of thrones or anything

I didn't read the book, so I have no idea, but when I realized it was based on a Dick novel (heehee), I definitely started seeing the show from a different perspective, which I feel, made it better.

Are you a Philip K Dick fan? I love his work but he’s definitely an “ideas guy” and not a character or plot developer. All of his stuff that’s been translated to movies is always heavily altered.

Nah I'm a Blade Runner fan, and figured the Dick+Scott formula would work, especially with the plot of High Castle. I haven't been disappointed.

I'm already hating myself for staying up too late tonight binge watching the new season of Daredevil. I can just feel it happening.

Onto the final episode. This has been a wild ride. A better season than season two. Fisk/Donofrio is one of the best villains in tv for sure. Hopefully Daredevil survives this marvel tv purge that's going on

About to watch Episode1/Season6 of Ray Donavan. One of my faves.

People hate me when I say it’s on par with The Office. I’m sure some here think it’s blasphemy too, but it is so good

I don’t think its peaks are near the same level as the office but its sustainability is pretty amazing. The office sucked at the end. P and R is really good in the later seasons

I know many disagree with me, but if Parks and Rec had a better main character it would have been better than The Office. I just didn't care for Leslie. Loved Ron, April, Andy, Tom, and Donna. Also Jean-Ralphio and Ron's ex-wives were good additional characters.

Started watching Arrested Development. Pretty enjoyable so far
Been seeing this & decided to try. Blew through 5 episodes of S1 last night and it was better than just good. 21 minutes of running time plus 5.5 minutes of "pause" wife chortle time is a pretty good way to waste an evening. Thank you @GregMadia

woke up early and watched some HoC really early this morning. Watching the end of it now. Only eight episodes. Not a great season but it's not terrible considering what happened and them having to completely do a 180 on the fly. Whatever

Just finished GOT. Should I watch The Wire or The Sooranos next? Never seen a single episode of either

both are amazing. Sopranos is easier to get into from the start. The Wire takes a little bit of paitence to get addicting. Can't go wrong with either though
Watched s1 of the wire and thought it was amazing but could not get into s2.

So Steve Carrell hosted snl last night, and he and a few members of the cast of the office all teased the idea of a the office returning to tv. Doubt it'd be a big time thing but it'd be cool if they did like a short 10 episode season or something

I thought it was a done deal already

Stumbled across this last night. Being in a Bill State of Mind is a must to truly enjoy.

House of Cards kicking back off on November 2nd & I can’t wait to see Hot & Evil Claire do here thang. We got that fiber optic going now & don’t do nothing but stream. Less than 50 bucks a month for cable & humpbacking off our oldests Netflix.
If you're looking for a cheap streaming service to supplement, try Philo. Great value at $16 a month

Anyone else into The Curse Of Oak Island? Really hoping to finally have a clue as to what happened on that Island, before I die. First read about it back in 1993.

OK, have been watching the Amazon Prime original "Patriot". I like it, very quirky and melancholy, 8often smacks of Wes Anderson's work. Nice cast, well shot, will recommend.

lulz...S1 Ep7&8 pretty much echo the last months at my previous job.
(and i'm out of bourbon)

Watching the third season of Narcos: Mexico now on Netflix. I was afraid it would not be as good as the previous seasons since they were changing cast, but its excellent. There is some cross over as they have the Mexican cartel coordinating with the Columbians later in the season. Highly recommend all of th seasons to anyone who has not watched it.

Also, just saw the trailer for the Last Kingdom on Netflix. Looked it up and its gotten great reviews. 3 seasons available on netflix. May watch it next. Has anyone watched it?
