After probably the most high profile victory in all of college football to kick off the season, the Boogs return to Jordan Hare to battle a few cupcakes to prepare themselves for their trip to College station.

First cupcake on the menu is Tulane. Cool school, great city, mediocre football squad though.

Boogs opened as 21 point favorites but it's dropped a little just to 19. I expect a healthy dose of refining the passing game to get Bo more comfortable and acclimated to the college game. I'm going with Boogs 42 Tulane 10. Couple of Nix td bombs and a nice game to throw Kam Martin a bone so he can beef up his stats.

As some of you know, I'm a big fan of Gus or whoever is the coach at AU but saw SEVERAL bad decisions and saw a quote from him that he was prepared to make another. If Seth was stopped short of the goal line the FG unit was ready to sprint out for the attempt.

Not on the D&G wagon but having more concerns but still hoping the D&G crowd ends up proven wrong.

I actually thought we shouda have been playing for a FG at that point, but it worked out in the end. Agree on everything else in your post.

It's like there is some virus they all get that makes them go braindead in this department.

I've said for years they each need to hire a younger guy, someone who played a ton of Madden type video games. Because a huge chunk of winning those games was clock and TO management. You had to be good at it to be any good at the game. Anyone that spent time on those games knows the math involved. Hell Cristobal wasted all 3 of his 2nd half timeouts on worthless things and that's a cardinal sin as well.

I need to see better route running and playing the ball in the air from the receivers. Burns is a good recruiter, but our WR’s suck ass under him at the basic stuff.

Tulane is better than people think. They have won 6 out of their last 7 games going back to last year, and they demolished a supposedly decent Florida International team in their first game. We are probably going to struggle more than the fans want

I think it will be another typical Gus ugly, early season win. Just want to see the team get better in all 3 phases, that triple option is gonna be a paine to defend.

Totally agree. Probably has 3 or 4 plays that he’s allowed to be in and that’s it. But I’d love to see him get the ball more

He's gonna be this years Devan Barrett/Asa Martin who has one "special" play he runs that that's the only touches he gets.

Just saw the Boogs were one of maybe 15 schools in the Home Depot pregame for 2019. I’ve decided I can live with 8 win seasons if it will keep us on the second page of huthut news. a generally uninspiring offensive gameplan masked by some superior offensive skill position talent and a couple of big plays late against a tired Tulane defense combined with a very sound Boog defensive performance leads to a ho hum, generic 41-17ish score that is far more lopsided than the actual on field play
