+++++ Tulane at Boogs Official Game Thread+++++

Which also means they are the best we have & they will be gone. Corch Jordon had a team one year with so many on the OL, that he tried to rotate them every series. Gotta give the man his due when he figured it out that wouldn’t work & it only took him one game to do so. Think it was 1974 @CJ3131 ?

He sure did, Solly.

We had a big one from Dozier, AL, I think. Big Lynn Johnson.
He was one of our best and one of the closest we had to Big John Hannah at the other place.

Dave Ostrowski (sp?) was another one and I think he was from Indiana.

About to get my nap. Damn, it was hot on The Plains and we did not get back until 3 am ET and I am shot.

Hope to see you soon and I think you know where we are. On a corner right across from JH.

WDE Solly!!! A very tired Papa Bear.

Oh, and I loved that team. We fumbled quite a bit but when our Veer was clicking that O was hard to stop. Should have, I know, I know, about should haves, beaten bama at Legion.

The only team that really spanked us that year was UF at their place.

The Gators ran the wishbone and damn they were good. Jimmy DuBose and Tony Green at RB. DuBose played FB but that guy had HB speed. 6-0 and 228 pounds from Sarasota I think. Averaged 9 plus yards a carry.

Gator fans would go Duuuuuuuuuuuuuu, every time he ran the ball for a nice gain.

Now, you can tell my brain is fried like scrambled eggs and I better hit the hay--my damn ramblings.

The more I stew On this game the madder I get.

WE RUN ONE READ PASSING PLAYS. IF ITS NOT THERE THE WHOLE PLAY GOES TO SHIT. OUR WRS STAND THERE. **** IM SO MAD

OLINE SUCKS FAT BALLS

50 MILLION DOLLARS. IS WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO HIRE A NEW GUY. MALZAHN ISNT GOING ANYWHERE. NO MATTER WHAT

Bo is not the only problem. In fact the problem is we are not great anywhere on offense. They hyped up the line as much improved over last year...bull shit

We need the quarterback run to create offense. Just hope it doesn't take 2 or 3 losses for Malzahn to figure it out

I think the Texas A&M game in two weeks will go a long way in determining our season.

1. Bo isn’t the issue. The problem is, he isn’t the solution. He plays smart ball and gets rid of the ball. He just can’t make his coach take advantage of his abilities.

2. I still think we beat TAMU. Les Miles survived years with a horrible offense because of his Defense. That is the hell we live in.

3. LSU might just name their score.

I hope Tulane proves to be a good team as the season goes on.

Our D is legit but not sure how the O can improve enough to win more that 6-8 games. Obviously, hope I'm wrong on the O.

Bro Nix would be fine behind a half way decent line.

His WR’s suck.

I think Gus is the only coach in the entire country who doesn't run pick plays to get receivers open. If you look at Tulane's first field goal, the entire drive started with a pick play. Sometimes you just need a little spark.

I don't like that they're trying to turn Eli Stove into Ryan Davis. Eli's elusive in a totally different way. But he's not good at those quick passes and then standing flat footed and making that first defender miss like RD was. It didn't work one time and it won't work with him. If they're gonna insist on spreading the d out with those throws, then they need to do it with Matthew Hill.

We're pretty shitty. I thought so after last weekend but last night confirmed it. I don’t see how it gets any better when we get to the hard part of the schedule.

Just wanted to alert you guys that this is apparently happening in case anyone wants to call in @ThrustMaxwell. A buddy sent me the link this morning. Probably have to lie about your screen name to get through.

Would absolutely love to hear @Fatz Geronimo call in as well

I’m on there towards the end. I just asked if we would look at Gus any different if he was a defensive minded coach. Just think it’s interesting that he got the hard part figured out of getting our defense back after Chizik ruined it, and now he’s completely forgotten how to run the offense. An interesting paradox

I’m actually signed in under this name, and all I’m getting is “Please stand by” with a picture of Jarret Stidham. Reminds me of Tate leaving push pins of the roster & schedule up for 12 months. He left the BBT push pinned eight months after Horn never finished it. That guy would do what he does for half of his income just to be in charge of a message board. Narcissistic taken to the highest lever (maybe choad is a better world). I bring this up cause we have been free for two years next Saturday.

@Harvey Specter JGT still kind of seems sore about something you said on the bunker. Not sure why he'd bring it up out of nowhere on that show and his face looked like he was remembering some painful memory

I went to a lunch in birmingham that some Bunker people went to and he came. He told me he was pretty annoyed me with me about the whole UAB board thing and felt I was part of trying to lead people away from his site. I felt like we worked through it that day

^^^They guy that David Housel would run from in Auburn Jeopardy, is too kind to call out #89 that dropped a wide open curl pass on the Gator five that would have probably given us a victory. We had all the momentum & that would have given us the lead. Seems like we lost like 25-14, or something like that? Fletcher kid was spectacular on the OL as well. Hope to see you soon my friend.

oh... my god

if he thinks Harvey was trying to lead people away from the bunker then god only knows what he thinks of me... part of me wants to do it out of morbid curiosity, part of me has no desire to actually interact with him in any way

we’ll see what ultimately wins out following our first full bedshitting of the season - which is coming sooner than I’m prepared to deal with

Seems obvious to me that the defense is good because Gus isn’t involved. Didn’t he have to give up control of the D in any way when we hired Muschamp?

bro, he never banned me from the forums, I left on my own because J is a fuggin goon. The guy embodies the word loser for me, I would honestly just rather associate myself with the people who post here. I made the mistake of not cutting losers out of my life once and even on the internet where the game is made up and the points don't matter, I won't do it again.

exactly, not gonna go down that rabbit hole again, but J takes the internetz way too serious. realize it's the man's business and all but at some point you gotta step back.
It still amazes me that he was so threatened by a few folks having fun on an abandoned board during silly season.

that whole radio call in show or whatever is really odd. I guess I was just a little fascinated to hear what all the old bunker personalities kind of sound like so I listened to most of it. But Jay does come across as a very weird dude. He's like a 50 year old man and he says the word Bro like in every other sentence. Almost to the point where it sounds like it's satirizing someone but it's not. It's just him. He also seems incredibly desperate to let the audience know that he's drinking whiskey on air. Made mention of it way too much when it never needed to be brought up at all. Also had some cringe moment where he asked a caller what he was drinking and the dude said "i don't drink." So weird. The whole thing reminded of a scene from the office

It's like saying bro all the time and always trying to make it sound cool that he's drinking makes me think that his definition of what's cool or badass hasn't changed since high school.

I don’t have the disdain like some on here have for him bc I wasn’t in all the mess from a while back but I definitely see his quirks and his talking of alcohol is definitely one of them.

Reminds me of that event DJ that plays super gay music and dances the entire time. Also tries to toast everyone that walks by. May even try to give a speech. The hair is just that to a T.

Meh I moved on from hard feelings not long after I got my permaban. I haven’t listened to the segment posted in this thread but if what is reported is true than I would take the following pic and crop Jay’s head in it and swap out the labels and cans for the appropriate beverage.

Looked to me like Tater wasn't even drinking, which makes it much worse. Just moving the saucer to his lips & faking it to somehow appear cool.
