Next is a young boog with out the gym bounce and a gorgeous smile Devan Cambridge. A lanky youngster that burst on the scene Bruce snatched him up off the Jr Boog elite squad late in the summer.

Bruce dropped the nug today he’s got a stress fracture in his foot and is out for a bit. A year in the dungeon with Steven should have this child ready to ball all over the competition next season and beyond.

Put a J on this kid and 15 lbs of muscle I think he makes for a pretty decent replacement for his brief Jr Boog teammate BJ Boston who unfortunately Nike got their grubby mits on before Bruce could lock up.

this is all open source material - I steal liberally and shamelessly

these are the late blooming, under the radar, multi year player, program building blocks that BRUCE is better at finding than anyone else in the country... he’s not a splashy recruiting darling like Okoro or Sharife, but is vitally important to develop and maintain consistency year-to-year as the tippy top of the roster continues to churn more quickly as BRUCE really gets things rolling

#14 is fair - but he will steadily climb this list over the next few years, and it will truly be a treat to experience

Spot on with the exception of replace years with weeks in the last sentence.

Yeah pretty ridiculous he ended up behind a walk on. Now is it too much to say he’s looking like one of the 10 best FR in the SEC? Without digging too deep Sir Isaac was the 10th highest rated SEC signee which is obviously a joke.

Child would get a lot more time everywhere else playing like this only thing gonna keep him off an all FR team. I know Cat Nation would do unspeakable things for a stud that hits 3s at this clip and that’s not even a big part of this HYGs game.

my 2 biggest whiffs...

Flanigan > Jamal - I just got seduced by Flanigan’s strength and was skeptical Jamal was physical enough, but he’s much more fluid than I expected

Cambridge so low... but I thought the foot injury was serious and would keep him out of the non conference slate

the great thing about a BRUCE team is, I didn’t have guys ranked too high and they weren’t good enough - I had guys ranked too low because they’re even better than the guys I had ahead of them who are still playing as well as I expected

such a treat... such a delightful, delightful treat

Flanigan certainly looks the part. Wouldn't be shocked if he gets there before the end of the season. Would love for those 3 balls to start falling for him, because he is playing good D and attacking the basket at the right times.

He's been a stud, but has played only averaged 31% of the minutes in games. His numbers are off the chart but the sample size is very low. Easy to see he's a very good player but he needs to play a lot more to break in to the top 10 SEC Freshman ranks.

Edit:

Cambridge has an effective FG% of 77.8%. Here are the 8 best Freshman with over 60% minutes played by eFG %

Player Team eFG%
DJ Stewart Mississippi St. 66.1
Isaac Okoro Auburn 62
Josiah-Jordan James Tennessee 53.9
Trendon Watford LSU 51.7
Anthony Edwards Georgia 50
Jaden Shackelford Alabama 48.6
Andre Gordon Texas A&M 46.8
Tyrese Maxey Kentucky 46.6
Iverson Molinar Mississippi St. 46.1
Scottie Lewis Florida 43.1
Scotty Pippen Vanderbilt 42.1

Yeah there’s a bunch playing a lot more than him. His efficiency is off the charts though and the mins are at least beyond garbage time.

I just looked at some stats of the FR at UF/ UK and the other 5*s at LSU, UT and UGA. Once you get past Edwards, Maxey, Watford and Okoro didn’t see anyone else doing much.

Remember when bama fans thought they were going to get Watford? LOL. Trash bums stuck with neckbeard Reese.
