Going to be tough from here on out. We are now without our star defensive player Nikki Newman, probably out for the season with a fractured foot. I realize that is a 6 week recovery. But maybe Nikki can take the medical red shirt since it appears she qualifies and play next year. She really hadn't been herself with her knee injury and now her fractured foot. If she does return this year, she will probably be eligible to play sometime in February. If our season looks like it is going to be over, I would rather her take the redshirt. Imagine having her, Kirby, Mickens, Hall, Jones, Okafer, Ross, Giggets, with a grown up lineup, I think we would be a much better team than this year.
Really thought we were going to be good this year, but I guess injuries, plus trying to gel with the freshman has been tougher than expected.
