Indiana St shot the lights out against indiana and got a big win for our RPI. Their guards are short, their C is short and fat and they lack depth. As long as we don’t let them get wide open looks and catch fire from 3 this should be an easy W.

gang - Murray is going to murder our non conference schedule... still not sure his game translates to SEC play... but he’s already doing 2 things we haven’t had in a 4 since BRUCE got here

1 - cleaning up defensive rebounds when Horace or whoever is at the 5 goes flying out of control contesting a shot he has no chance to block

2 - playmaking from the mid/high post... a lot of our 4 action has been perimeter based but he’s already setup 2 easy buckets from passes 10-18 feet from the basket... a nice little new wrinkle

Yeah these refs seem to be trying to keep it interesting. Chuma and Mac with two each by my count. We have 8 team fouls in 8 minutes...

I hate college basketball officiating... especially early season - they call everything

anyhoo - we’re defending really well in the half court... rebounding everything... our fouls have been from being too physical - but better to go too far and have to pull back the reins than start soft and try to play tougher... a couple have been from youngsters just being stupid though

offensively, we’re getting anything we want... they’ll stay in the game from the line this first half though

so... remember last year when we’d have a couple of scatterbrained possessions, then it would snowball, and next thing you know we either blew a huge lead, or gave up a sustained run and got blown out because everyone on the court started pressing?

we were in danger of doing the same thing... but then Sweet Jared walked the ball up the floor and we ran a beautiful set to get an easy dunk for Mac... then defended and ran out the clock on the half

it’s way too early, but score aside - just watching how we played that first half you can tell this team is miles better than last year
