Best team basketball I think we've played under Bruce. Also the most "Pearl like" the team has every looked to me. That reminded me more of those good UT teams he had than anything we've seen at AU.
I swear if AU admin screws this up I'm gonna need to be bailed out an hour after I get myself into Auburn.

Trevor seems more fluid and I believe Chuma can be a beast down low.
Enjoyed hearing that AU has an assistant with a cell phone taped to his hand so he doesn’t miss the potential call that Austin or Danjel could be eligible
Honestly, and I'm not just trolling @Denim Vest here, I'm not sure Purifoy gets more than 15 minutes a game with this crew if Wiley is back too. If his defense hasn't gotten immensely better he's not going to see the floor much.
I love not being reliant on Heron for buckets. That's progress. At the same time, we're going to need him to be the man when things are going poorly. Every team needs the guy you give the ball to in order to stop a run or get that clutch hoop. He's gotta get back on track.
Harper is playing so much better this year IMO. Much more complete players. And Brown isn't pouting when the 3's don't drop. He's playing hard and not relying 100% on that long ball.
He's 5 fouls we'll need at times though.

Young Davion played 21 minutes and took 0 official shots from the field, 3-4 from the line...
combined, 51 minutes, 9 assists, 3 turnovers... not sure officially on steals and deflections, but my favorite possession of the game was in the first half when they were running weave action on the left and Davion communicated and switched 3 straight handoffs - the wing defender passed off all 3 guys to Davion on top - and all 3 offensive players gave up the ball without even taking a dribble against him... the end result was they got pushed back about 25 feet from the basket and scrambled to get something else going...
that’s such a huge change from last year, and won’t show up anywhere on the stat sheet
Desean Murray is my favorite player. He's what we missed so badly from last year with the toughness he brings. 14 points 12 rebounds and just fights like hell for rebounds and 50/50 balls.

I wonder how many times did someone have 12 rebounds in a game last year? Probably less than 5
Danjel had 15 against UConn. Without looking up all the #s I don't think we had another instance of someone getting 12+.
F it I looked it up for the GREG. Staph had games of 12 and 14. Austin and Mac had 11 once each.
