Game day you boner noses. This is the moment that the hygs have all been dreaming about all year and it's finally a reality. Blue blood vs blue blood showdown in just under 12 hours. Leeeeeeegggggggggggggoooooooooooo. Time to break out the courage lube and pour the mimosas and here we go

Broke down some tape on Lawson. Good read here he’s surprisingly unathletic but effective:

Lawson’s mastery of fundamentals and lack of grace is either extremely your shit or not-at-all your shit. Over the course of a dominant performance, Lawson’s foul-line and floaters scoring routine can get as repetitive as entering values into a spreadsheet. Still, there’s something marvelous about the singular, counterintuitive way Lawson is able to impose himself on the game. It’s almost like a mystery that begs solving. One of college basketball’s best players should not be relying on this weird mid-range bullshit in 2018, and yet it works!

Gang everything about this matchup got me feeling good. They turn it over like crazy, don’t defend the 3 well, don’t shoot the 3 well and aren’t that big/ long or great on the glass.

Hopefully we got the rest and tightness out of our bholes we needed over the last couple days. I think Ho and Chuma can handle Lawson inside. Austin should be good on the glass. Ant need to win the tip, hit a 3 then sit the rest of the game.

Apparently Grimes an elite defender gonna need Bryce to cool it with the dribble. Just stick to coming off screens/ spotting up for a kick out. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if Samir and/ or Malik showed up for this one.

TLDR we going to the sweet 16.

could have done without the focus and lingering shot on Mac, but I can live with it... he’s been bad - really bad lately - but I think I’m the only one here with any faith left in him

he’s still spacing the floor - and has gotten much better moving the ball and helping keep the half court offense flowing instead of being a complete ball stopper... and... well he’s really good at jump balls... and I appreciate that you can tell how goofy and awkward and how big a nerd he is anytime he tries to celebrate... idk - I’m running out of things and am stretching to find the good

but we’re still winning... and he’s still playing... so I’m gonna be positive until the clock hits 0:00 and we’ve lost

until then, Ho Daddy and Austin the God gonna pick up that slack and Mac gonna do just enough not give me a complete aneurysm... and I’ll happily take it

Boogs by 11

Expert Kansas writer who went 21-14 against the spread supposedly says Boogs by 6

great write up - that guy would fit in well here

not surprising, but still nice to see that our general opinions on our strengths and weakness are confirmed by the number crunching nerds... didn’t realize we’re the 5th most efficient transition team in the country... I knew it was a strength but not to that extent

speed up their guards - turn them over - and the same recipe I’ve been repeating for weeks and you’re probably tired of hearing, but it’s a very simple recipe for the Boogs to win... just finish defensive possessions

defend - rebound - run

period.
