gang... I’ve held off on this since yesterday afternoon - I needed to let this take marinate before putting it out there - but I just don’t see any way around it at this point...
if we beat UNC we’re winning the title
that’s not to say this is the title game, because I’m not convinced UNC would beat a couple of the teams they could potentially see in the Final Four... but they’re the team best equipped to beat the Boogs, and if they can’t get it done - no one is going to

this is going to be long, but you’ve been warned...
you’re going to hear people all week talk about how long Cam Johnson is and we can’t match up... and how well they rebound - and they’re gonna kill us on the boards... and how fast they are - and like to play... and blah blah blah
and all of that is true...
and none of it is going to really matter...
what you’re not going to hear as often is that we’re the faster team... they PLAY faster than we do, but the guys we’ll have on the court 1-5 will be faster than them... and more than that, we’re a better offense when we play fast than they are, because we shoot more 3’s and make more 3’s
you’re also not going to hear much about how much better our bench is than theirs... because Nas Little comes off the bench, people think UNC is deep or has a great bench... but he’s it... they’ve got 6 guys
their backup guards are dogshit... Seventh Woods is atrocious, and Leaky Black hasn’t stayed healthy enough to get enough good reps to be ready for this game... Robinson is an excellent spot up shooter and does almost nothing else... White and Williams will need to play 35+ minutes - full speed - on both ends - without getting into foul trouble or hurt... and that is what is going to determine the game
not rebounding - not how much bigger they are - not how fast they play - but Coby White vs Jared and JVon
all of the other issues or strengths or weaknesses will be exacerbated or mitigated by that matchup - and you could argue that it’s cliche that games come down to “guard play” but for these 2 specific teams, and where we they are in their seasons, it’s even more true than most - and essentially specific to the point guard matchup
can Jared hurt them enough offensively either making shots from deep or driving and kicking enough that their defense can’t rotate enough to avoid giving up a good look to Bryce or Samir or Malik - because they willingly give up 3’s to protect the paint
and when Jared takes a break - can JVon keep up the pressure on both ends to keep White from catching a breather or having any easy minutes while he’s actually on the court... JVon will have to finish when he drives - and then race back on defense...
and when White goes out, we’ve gotta demolish Seventh Woods
as great as they are - their guards are going to struggle to initiate good offense against our half court defense... they either have to make bad shots over it, or get enough offensive rebounds to make up for it, but they’re going to lose enough easy buckets that they can’t make up the advantage we have from 3
if we don’t make shots - they rebound and run - and can play their game... but if we make shots - we’re going to do the exact same thing to them we did to Kansas and Tennessee
Not on Twitter, just went through his post. Damn this kid loves Auburn. I love seeing former athletes that show love to Auburn. Nobody going to beat Charles, Bo in second.

Had we not run into the Cuse and Melo, he easily could have carried us to the Final 4 that year. We gave them their closest game of the whole tournament.
I’m beaching and beering all week to prepare for this one, gang. Weather’s been perfect. Fish have been biting. If we trash Carolina, I may question reality. Keep me in your T’s and P’s.

Kid deserves a ton of credit. He's made the absolute most of his athletic ability. He's a very good on ball defender and an excellent shooter because he put the work in to be that.
In the win streak, we’re shooting 38.5% from 3. Since the Florida game in the SECT, we’re shooting 40.8%. In the win streak, we’ve made at least 11 3s in every game but one (7 at Bama). Since that Bama game, we’ve made at least 12 in every game and are averaging 13 makes per game in those last 7 games.

and trust me, if anyone knows how to do that - it’s me
sure - for the average UNC fan who’s had no reason to pay a lick of attention to the Boogs, it’s helpful... but it also does virtually nothing to properly encapsulate our biggest strengths and the ways we will most stress their team
Love the first paragraph where we’re supposed to believe that he predicted to his friends in real life that we’d struggle against NMST and then blow out Kansas. He’s a genius
