I could go for a 7:21 boog run right now.

Hard to tell just how good Samir is defensively on TV. Dude is just a straight up pest for 40 min while rarely getting in foul trouble

we’re not good right now, but neither is anyone else in college basketball... we’ve got more pieces than just about anyone else though, and this is following an eerily similar path to last year, just treading water, collecting dubs, slowly figuring things out
still cutting down the nets in the Clam when we clinch the regular season SEC title... still cutting down the nets in whatever shithole city we play the SEC tourney and regional finals... and still cutting down the nets in Atlanta

I still think Danjel is gonna be that guy that rankles me all year then starts to come up big in March.
Not to mention all these young FR bench boogs that are gonna keep getting better. Even the guys that aren’t in the rotation now they’ll be ready when it matters.
Flanny gonna a be a big time asset by March
I was dog cussing him to show some energy the whole game. Looked like he was hungover, or just being flat out lazy for the firsts 2/3 of the game. He has to get involved and score a few early buckets or he just disappears.
Meanwhile, Doughty and Wiley are going to lead this team of young Stud Boogs to glory. We have a lot to improve on, but we have the guns to win any type of bar room brawl when we get pushed around a little. Thing is we have so many Dudes that at anytime can take a game over if we find that mismatch, or have something taken away from us, or someone gets hot. Any night it could be a number of different guys that we turn to to win us a game. We’re playing avg ball and still beating good teams. Can’t wait for SEC play to start.
he’s just never going to “get it”... and that’s ok, he can still be a huge difference maker simply because his stroke is sooo good for a guy his size
but that’s all I want from him at this point... hit a couple 3’s a night, stretch the floor, be physical on defense (because god knows you’re never gonna be in the right place in transition or scramble mode/helping, so at least fvcking hammer someone when you’re man up with them), and help JVon break the press
anything beyond that basic stuff is an absolute bonus
Our 5 spot is interesting. Wiley was a nightmare for them tonight and it didn't all show up on the stat sheet (although that +26 is NUTS). We were sooooo much better when he was in there. Just the right fit vs that particular team. Some nights he looks a bit lost and out of place and typically those are the nights Mac hits 3 from deep and scores 14 and blocks some shots and gets a nice oop.
We're gonna need Danjel to be what he can be more often. We're gonna need Okoro to be better than he was offensively tonight...thought he had mostly a rough game with some good spots. Also need Flanny and Cambridge to keep getting the minutes and growing up. Get that stuff and we're getting all kinds of hardware.

he could stand to calm tf down a little helping guys off the court... I thought he was gonna rip some poor HYG’s shoulder out of the socket a couple times tonight... but that’s my only complaint

Basically what Fatz said, once that 3 ball starts to fall he is going to be huge. Honestly, if that 3 ball starts to fall and Danjel doesn't pick it up he might become our 3rd scoring option.

that’s how I see it right now as far as go to scoring options. Can’t see him getting to much higher on the list this season
3rd may be too high. I do think that one of the core values of our offense is to spread you out. You need guys to knock down 3's to really achieve this and Flanigan doing that would pair really well with the defense he is playing, the fact that he can score inside when matched up with a smaller defender and he just plays hard.

Yeah. Keep forgetting about Jamaal. Think it’s bc he’s not much of a creator or very aggressive but he’s definitely been the most reliable spot up shooter so far
