Non Boog specific COLLEGE HOOPS thread

@Gran_Polla I'll ask my bama buddy again. He thought it was a done deal but something could have changed.

He said it's probably not going to happen now. The new coach is worried people will think that he was just hired because of Watford.

Bucky is the head coach at Mountain Brook. As sad as this may sound, a little bit of me wants Bruce to piss all in bama's cheerios and hire Bucky. No doubt Watford would come IMO. Watford is a very good player and IMO it would be great for Auburn to get the number 1 player in the state. He reminds me a lot of Chuma. JMO

I admittedly have followed very little high school basketball recruiting, but I wouldn’t trade a single one of our commitments for Watford. I think he is slightly overrated and not a great fit for us. JMO obviously.

Watford is the real deal. Did you see him against IMG? Mountain Brook beat IMG and Watford dominated. IMG has Josh Green, Armando Bacot and Jermiah Robinson-Earl. Those 3 guys are all 5 stars and all 3 are in the top 25 in the country. Watford finished with 38 points and 12 rebounds. I would trade anyone in our class for him(not OKORO). This dude is a 6'9 small forward with a ceiling as high as the damn sun. I don't know if you were told he was overrated or you watched highlights and came to that conclusion, but Watford is legit as you can get IMO.

I did not see the IMG game, I have only seen him against OTM talent. Maybe that's the problem, maybe he turns it on against superior talent. I would also suggest that if he really is an Okeke clone then maybe he is so smooth that he just doesn't look like he is as athletic as he really is. I should specify that I mean overrated in the sense that I wouldn't hire a coach for him. I look at our recruits and they fit our needs and our style so well that I wouldn't trade any of them for him.

Man if that's what stop Nat Oats from making a good hire he's going to get absolutely shredded in this league over the next 3-4 seasons. If you spend a second worrying about perception of anyone other than actual recruits you've already lost this game.

So are any of y’all familiar with Buzz Williams? I don’t know too much about him. People are saying this is a real good hire for A&M. I know he was at Marquette and VTech

Ha. Think I summarized that one in a separate post. It’s no biggie that board is utterly unfun but I have enjoyed reading the meltdown posts so appreciate you leaving me read acess. Welcome to post here anytime we don’t mind a little banter with our equals.

I would have pulled for Auburn but I think a few of you guys were way out of line with insincerity when you posted on our board so now I really don’t care. You guys don’t care (and I truly AM being sincere) but I’m no longer a fan of Auburn. And being sincere again, I don’t blame you for disliking me. I get it.

You really don’t want my opinions. I’ve made myself clear on my opinions for the disrespect you guys have for UK. You’re in a great spot now.... hopefully we’re in that spot again soon. I like our program.
