Non Boog specific COLLEGE HOOPS thread

Marquette going down tonight is big. Missy State losing helps us at well. Nevada is no longer a worry with their loss. We're the #2 5 seed per bracket matrix. Va Tech getting smoked yesterday by UVA helped us as well. Another W tomorrow and we will be 5-7 vs quad 1 provided we don't knock UF out of quad 1.

A neutral site win over UF would be a guaranteed Q1 win (I think top 50 when on neutral site)

If we win the tourney is it possible will we be a 3? Otherwise, I’d be cool with staying on the 5 line.

buddy knows a guy who works in the BAMA AD or works at Coleman in some capacity who knows plenty of people involved in the BAMA b-ball program... so, this is like 4th hand, but he says Thad Motta is the hire

same guy told him Avery was out Thursday afternoon before anyone was reporting it Friday morning... he posted it in a group chat I’m in and I didn’t see it until Friday morning

Bring him on.

Bring him on.

agreed... he’s a really good coach, much better than Avery, but has had health issues and isn’t exactly the most outgoing guy, and has never recruited in the southeast... he’ll have the BAMA machine behind him, but he’s not nearly as scary to me as Kelvin Sampson or Musselman or Pitino or a younger, ore energetic guy who will coach a more up tempo style

the way BRUCE has this train rolling though, what they do means almost nothing to the HYG’s moving forward

Didn’t Thad Matta basically quit recruiting at the end of his time at OSU? Can’t deny that he’s got a great resume but I’d be worried that he’s all burnt out and just wants another fat paycheck before totally retiring. Kind of a Tommy Tubberville thing.
