They had to have that one, although USCe's Net ranking of 80 isn't going to move the needle that much for Bama (I don't think).

South Carolina getting the 4 and us the 5 is the worst possible outcome... that’s a lose/lose quarterfinal game, and just 1 more chance for that rotten Silva or bumbling oaf Borat to maim someone or crush a windpipe with an out of control shoulder or elbow

I just hate everything about playing them. And in that scenario we gotta play some other trash club the night before. Then by the time we play a legit squad we’re playing our 3rd game in 3 days.
Oh well all hypothetical at this point and if we handle business Saturday we’ll have sufficiently built our tourney resume. Maybe a couple games against some relative stiffs in the SEC tourney would be good for Austin getting right in time for the dance.

They had been playing really tough. That gut wrenching loss to us last week had to be the final straw. Sort of impressive they hadn't already packed it in before that after all the close losses they have taken.

Wished they had gotten us an extra off day, but I gotta be honest and say I don't care much about the SECT now that we got a key win that gets us out of that 8/9 game watch. I either want to get bounced to get to halftime of the semifinals in a tight game. At that point I'll start to think about a SECT Trophy and that would be worthwhile. But if we can't get there I'd rather just go out early and rest.
