I have no ill will towards Mustapha... I’ll always be grateful that he jumped on board and trusted BRUCE and helped jumpstart this rebuild... he was definitely a key cog in winning the conference last year
but his Boog usefulness had run its course... he wasn’t going to be happy here - and Jared, Bryce, and especially Chuma weren’t going to progress as much with another guy here expecting that many touches and shots
it does suck for him that he transferred from 2 ball dominant, scoring guards... only to end up with an even more ball dominant, scoring guard... but he should’ve seen that coming

Cuz was up 16 at the half. They scored 36 the first 13 minutes of the game, then only scored 22 in the next 27 minutes. That’s a choke job for a team that would’ve been auto in with a win.

I had concerns how he could consistently impact games without a semi reliable jumper....but he doesn't need one. At least not at this level. The word "explosive" gets used way too much but that dude is truly explosive. I don't know another way to describe it. When he decides to get near the rim to elevate nobody can do anything to stop him. He's just too damn big and gets there too damn fast. Freaky. I've come around to thinking he can be a very good NBA player even without the jumper now.
I’m still in the skeptical stage that he’s #1 pick type talent but this is from watching him a few months ago so I haven’t been seeing his latest

You have to take him #1 for the optics but I’m just in the camp of not being convinced he’ll be an Allstar
When he gets the billionaire lifestyle diet and training regiment, if he wants to, he will become an all time great IMO. He’s also pleasant and very marketable today from an off the court perspective. If that part doesn’t change he will become an all time earnings champion as well.

I feel like the intangibles are off the charts with him and his weaknesses can be improved much like Lebron had. I hate comparisons as much as the next guy but I haven't seen explosiveness from a player his age in awhile.

Yeah it's been too long since we had a GOAT, damn I miss Jordan.
I don't think he's every gonna be ripped up like some dudes, but if he gets just a bit leaner and develop a moderately effective jumper at the NBA level he's going to be the most impactful player in the league. He changes your defense because he covers so much ground so quickly and elevates to block anything near him. He has the potential to make you decisively better on both ends of the court on day 1. Not many kids can do that.
And by all accounts he's a hard working, easy to coach kid. When your game has a few fixable holes in it, I want the kid that has been easy to coach and likes the gym over the kid like Cousins who had to keep switching HS and AAU teams because he was uncontrollable.
Fans vote for the All-Stars. He'll definitely be an All-Star. And that first dunk competition will be the most anticipated since Jordan v. Dominique.
