Was perusing some mock draft stuff and found SBJ at #59 on the ESPN big board.

Keep giving me the Sharife Cooper's and the Jared Harper's of the world all day at PG. I've seen too many Jameer Nelson/Damian Stoudamire/Kyle Lowry/Isaiah Thomas types. Hell Chris Paul is listed at 6' and I've been in a room with him and he ain't a centimeter over that. I understand the reason they want length, I just think coaches get stupid and reach for it. Take a much worse player who is 5 inches taller because they convince themselves they can turn the kid into an elite player when an elite player is staring them in the face....and the shorter dude probably has had a better work ethic because he's had to all through the process, he's had that chip on his shoulder needing to prove he's good enough. My buddy that coaches juco basketball gets call all time does he have any guards that are 6 foot 4. Coaches are looking for length these days.

J Hoke and his boss are clearly pretty confident that young Sharife will be boogin in Lee County
Bruce definitely wants guys to get drafted. He does not want guys to leave early to be drafted in the 2nd round though if there is a chance they could improve to the 1st round by returning. Chuma is not going to be a first round pick after the injury and can definitely move into the first round by returning next year. Even if Chuma had not been hurt and as expected was a mid to late 1st round projection, Bruce would have pitched him on the upside of returning to move into the lotto pick range since that would be a realistic possibility for him. On the other hand, if Jared was projected as a 2nd round pick this year, Bruce might tell him to go if he wanted to given that it was unlikely he could ever move into the first round. Not that i want to know a world in which AU basketball and Chuma are mutually exclusive, but Bruce would be the last guy to ask a player to stick around. These guys were sold in part that if they came and played for him he could provide them a path to the NBA.
IF AU men's basketball wants to compete for top 50 recruits, they have to put guys in the league, the boogs need to get over their separation anxiety. As longs as the new kids are handsome and fun to watch i'm kool with one and dones, but think most of the kids we'll land will be around for at least a couple of seasons.
Breath held

Dude looks like a scrub to my eye. Guess Cal wouldn’t bring in a bum but decidedly not HYG material imo.
I’d need to see him move to know how I feel about it
38% from 3 on 3.5 attempts a game is intriguing
80% from the line
only 11 steals and 33 blocks on the year makes me doubtful he’s agile or active enough to defend at this level
I’m guessing he ends up not on our radar but, as always, in BRUCE I trust
Reminder that our boy Fatz has already done the breakdown on this scrub. Not a likely contributor for our boogs.
yeah... if he wants to go lumber around the half court for a team that has to slow it down and win rock fights because they’re not capable of playing the game the way it was meant to be played - then best of luck to the kid, and props to him for recognizing his limitations and finding a soft landing spot
he ain’t built to Boog
Wow. That kid will be light years ahead of Harp daddy.

Do other teams worry about kid leaving early to go play overseas like the Auburn fanbase does?
I never heard of this type of worrying until the last couple of years
No. Referring to worrying bout players like Harper leaving early, with his only realistic destination being overseas.
We did this last year as well.
I just didn't know if other fanbase's worry about players leaving early when said players won't be drafted.
I am genuinely asking this. We haven't really had even these type of players in the past.
Am I doing this right?
Pursuing this Rayjon Tucker dude tells me that they’re counting on someone else to leave or young Allen Flannigan asked to grey shirt or something. Throw dad a “final four bonus” that covers his tuition for the year and we basically could have 14 scholly players

Bump. @cookedw do something useful for a change
Look at the top 25 recruits for 2020 and just assume we are in the running.
He released a top 4 awhile ago and AU wasn’t in itWhatever happened to Keon Johnson out of TN? His mom played at Auburn and he took an official.
Says we lead for Cooper and are in the top 2 for Boston with Duke.

I just sent everyone DMs with the info
Except for you
Wonder what that does for Nick Richards and EJ Montgomery. They both took a back seat to Reid Travis late in the year. Now they’re bringing in another guy at their spot.
Any of our UK brethren have any insight here? @BlueWorldOrder74 @CATabulous @CHAMPCAT11 @IL Wildcat @Myron Gaines
