Oh mylanta
It’s unlikely just bc how rosters work, but it’d be badass if they were the starting 5 as all true sophomores in two years
I don't know man. Kid's make irrational decisions and sometimes have dumb people whispering in their ears. Jared is rumored to not be coming back too and it's not like he's on any draft boards either. I hope they both come back but I don't think it's some guaranteed foregone conclusion that they both do@MomentInTheSun Where would Austin go? He can’t prove he can stay healthy for a season. I mean he’s big but he really hasn’t done Rick.

About the only thing Harper can come back and prove is that he has a floater/midrange pull-up. There's just not much more to add to his game that is going to make him suddenly more attractive to the NBA at his size. If I'm being completely neutral and advising him I tell him that it's likely the best financial decision to go play pro ball, start the clock and if you don't make the NBA get paid overseas. Unless you just love college and want to play another season because you are having a ton of fun and love the college life, then stay and enjoy it. But financially/career wise, it's probably a sound decision to go get started on his hoops earnings.I don't know man. He’s probably not thinking like this but there’s still value in getting his degree and adding to his AU legacy. He’s already a Boog legend but he’d legit get a statue if he comes back next year and gets AU in the tourney again. Plus, he strikes me as someone who will probably get into coaching and he’d need a college degree for that too I believe. Delaying a grind in G league a year isn’t the end of the world for his basketball futureAbout the only thing Harper can come back and prove is that he has a floater/midrange pull-up. Most recent word is that Jared is going to return now. Need to pray BRUCE can convince our beloved Chuma to come back and contend for SEC POY and move into the lottery.I don't know man. Do other teams worry about kid leaving early to go play overseas like the Auburn fanbase does?
I never heard of this type of worrying until the last couple of years

I don't think their intention is to declare and end up in Europe, but some guys do. It's just part of the system. Are you asking if other basketball programs lose kids to turning pro early and then don’t make it in the NBA and end up in Europe? I would imagine that happens some.
Not that i want to know a world in which AU basketball and Chuma are mutually exclusive, but Bruce would be the last guy to ask a player to stick around. These guys were sold in part that if they came and played for him he could provide them a path to the NBA.Most recent word is that Jared is going to return now. Isaiah Thomas got drafted and he’s smaller and the same exact numbers Harper puts up. It’s not out of the rea of possibilities for Jared to go in rd 2No. Referring to worrying bout players like Harper leaving early, with his only realistic destination being overseas.
We did this last year as well.
I just didn't know if other fanbase's worry about players leaving early when said players won't be drafted.
I am genuinely asking this. We haven't really had even these type of players in the past.
Looks like he made that projection last September

I won’t be shocked if he comes back or not. I don’t really think his draft stock is going to get that much better by playing another year. I also wouldn’t be shocked if he made a team or got to play in the G-League for a while. I’m not “worried” about it, but he could definitely leave. I assume other fanbases have conversations about what their roster will look like next year and discuss the possibility of kids leaving early.
It sounds like Jared understands the NBA isn't happening and that's why he's expected to return. I hate it for him, but I'd be shocked if he ever gets a serious look in the NBA.
