Wouldn’t surprise me. I never read anything about Ross that claimed he was as good as his ranking indicated. If JL was right about anything, which I doubt, he said Ross had eliminated Alabama last night. Why would he all of a sudden eliminate the in-state school he had been leaning too?
I think they just missed more than normal this year. Kirby is hurting them...a good bit. I actually think it's going to harmful for them to have Pruitt and Kirby out there running big programs even if Pruitt never beats them head to head for anyone. They all sell the same basic stuff and all want to do the same basic things and you can't all just negative recruit the non-saban disciple schools now. This year Kirby killed them all but it will be interesting to see how the chips fall next year.
I think Pruitt is kinda screwed TBH. He needs to win and do it fast or he's going to get buried by the other 2. Not enough oxygen in the conference for 3 Saban programs and it sure looks like we know which 2 are more likely to make the cut.
They would've taken him just to have another bump in the rankings. On Rivals there were 4 teams that had a higher "star avg". They can't like that.

I'm perfectly fine with Tim Horton as RBs coach but that is insanity.
I would contend that UGAs recruiting prowess has most to do with having a head coach that prioritizes it in his life. He doesn't breathe without thinking about how the recruits are doing.
Malzahn looks at it as something he does for a few weekends a year and he's perfectly fine getting the players that want to fill in a depth chart. Why fight for a 5 star when you can get a raw 4-star that is fine with possibly redshirting?
Yes. Kirby is clearly hungry to win and prove himself. Plus it’s obvious that he wants to be the guy to bring another title back to UGA. I think he’ll win one too. Be curious to see what he’s like once he does. Will he be hungry for more like Saban? Or will he kind of roll into being abrasive asshole like Jimbo Fisher? Either way, he’ll still destroy Gus in the state of Georgia for as long as he’s there

He was back in Charolette, KC, Houston and San Antonio in a 24 hr period last week. All that did was get him 3 more big ballers yesterday. The guy is a war machine when it comes to cruiting.

If you put Travis Williams on any other staff in the SEC he’d be just as good and might be better than he is on this staff. If you put him on Saban or Smarts’ staff then he’d be national recruiter of the year I guarantee it.

Maybe burn thst wasn’t the argument with rice. The argument was if del was on staff we would have had a better class. Not a UGA class or a top 3 class..but better. Rice disagrees and said Horton is just as good a recruiter.
Exactly. I think saban has some recruits in the locker room after the NC game. In any case, bama and UGA might have more advantages but they still get the best bc of their HC. Gus thinks scoring 41 on Mercer and almost getting to the playoffs is “pretty good”. He makes excuses a lot too.
