******Official Boog Recruiting Thread******

I got the impression he can be here next year just a matter if we have room. Basically if Austin leaves he'll def be here and if Austin comes back then TBD.
Sounds like he needs to put on some good weight ala Austin, if there is room we need to bring him in.

I just read that Stephen Davis Jr. is back on USCe roster.

tuff crowd @AuWaterfowl...Rod needs to drop a knowledge bomb like "Austin has decided he want's his Masters of Boog and will be on the Plains til he pumps out 5 kids" or somethin. Maybe some hAUt yoga, and handy would help with the positive vibes.

Gang I know it's stupid to get my hopes up, but we are in on a big time OT prospect.

I clicked the link thinking, welp he's going to UTe BUT we have T-Will recruiting him. Obviously old man Grimes can't recruit this stud by himself, but can I allow myself to get my little boog hopes up since T-Will is on the case?

May not mean a lot, but two quick Crystal Ball picks were made in favor of Auburn, including uncle keith

ole Chad Simmons reporting the 2019 OT Wanya Morris will choose between UTK and Awbren...please don't let Grimes close to this young stud.

UPDATE:
"Me and my mom are ready to get this over with and choose a school," said Morris. "They're both amazing programs and we cannot go wrong with either.

"It will come down to what team will prepare me best for the next level."

...he gone

I said it on the Boog, but Coach Depth Chart sometimes wins in recruiting battles. Coach Depth Chart is a terrible long term strategy but sometimes it does win in recruiting.

Perhaps he's trying to take his square foot gardening to the next level.

"What is the definition of a weed"
"Unwanted and out of place plant?"
"Right. So what if you had a watermelon grow in the middle of your grass. Which one is the weed?"
"Watermelon"
"WRONG, the grass is the weed, you got yourself a watermelon lawn"

Feel like we were missing that kind of speed this year. Lots of fast guys with good builds. No tail-lights speed though.

Possibly, but I also think we didn't do a good job of putting them in new situations. Eli Stove is pretty dang fast but we basically did the same things we did in 2016 with him and teams were ready for it.

He’s not top 2 in the country in the 100 fast.

slayton is clearly fast as fugg. Kam Martin is pretty damn fast too. Neither of those guys get too many touches though. We'll see where Schwartz and the midget fit into the offense though

I get where you're coming from, it's just that the 100 in track doesn't always translate to the football field. Now I'm not saying it can't, just that it may not. Honestly when you watch their film, Shivers speed looks like it transfers better than Schwartz. I'm pumped to have their speed though, we just won't know until we actually see them on the field.

These guys have an elite gear that slayton martin etc don’t have

It feels good to get cheap end arounds again

Slayton is incredibly fast. He just doesn’t know how to football. Luckily for him, he shows up to every FCA meeting, he’s a veteran and he keeps his bad habits (if they exist) well hidden from Gus, so he will get as many opportunities as humanly possible.

He’s also probably very vocal in practice and leads stretching drills as well.

Textbook Gus player, imo.
