I also thought JJ would drag his dick all over the SEC. I was wrong on that one.

My dad coached against Jeremy in high school and told me that he wasn't going to amount to anything in college. He even repeated after his freshman year where he showed some promise. I told him that nobody alive agreed with him.

Of course he was in the same process hyping his 5'11 QB that went on to play DB or something for Jax State or North Alabama.

I was a regular on TOS when Kodi came around. After him and Tony Franklin helped us win an OT game vs Clemson to end his FR season in the ATL, one of the Scout board legends, Mark Green, predicted that Kodi with Tony Franklin would take over the league in 2008. He had about 8 of our offensive starters making All SEC that season. I’m not sure we converted 8 third downs after two series against Vandy around game 5. Brutal year for our offense.
“Scary close.”

Someone else mentioned Kodi starting a game in 2007 recently. You remember who it was against? I’m drawing a blank.

It was definitely MSU. I went quail hunting for the first and only time that Saturday. We were so sure we were going to skull fug State that we weren't worried about it at all. Remember listening to the end of the game in my car holding my shotgun and coming to the realization that I should never be in possession of a shotgun during an AU football game.

Khiel Frazier was just awful. Nobody could have made him good. Kodi under a Dan Mullen or Urban Meyer could have been okay. And I mean just okay. Like a poor man's JT Barrett and I'm already not high on JT Barrett. Kodi wasn't athletic enough to be an elite runner. Wasn't big/tough enough to get punishing yards as a qb. And was never ever ever gonna be a good enough thrower to keep defenses honest. Just was never gonna be a good qb imo.

He did not start against MSU. He came in when we were down. We battled back. Took him out on last drive and couldn’t score

His first start was against New Mexico St

Yep. If I'm not mistaken, Cox had us 1st and goal and instead of putting Kodi back in to run the option (that had been so effective), we left Cox in and didn't score.

That's right. I turned it on and he was in the game and it wasn't until later we figured out that he had come off the bench.

Reading all of these hyped up qbs has made me sick. I cannot get the taste of Cox vs megatron and Ga Tech whooping our ass out of my mouth.

Well I mean he did March us right down the field. You don’t typically take a guy out then

Kodi wasn’t even really that good in the game. Everyone just bonered over him

FYI, the Hewitt WR is legit as fvck. Caught te winning ball against Hoover this weekend in Mobile. He is faster than shedrick Jackson and Shedrick can fly.

Georgia is Auburn's biggest threat and they are not much of one. George isn't happy with bama waiting so long to offer and he has already been taken care of, so it's a real long shot for anyone to get him to switch.
What are the odds of AU flipping that five star UGA wr commit? Seems like he's taken a lot of visits to boogville and is good friends with Pickens

He loves Bo Nix and he is boys with George, so if he flips anywhere it will be Auburn. I'll put it this way, if he plays with George in college it will be at Auburn and George is trying to make that happen.

Pickens is the player I most want to keep in this class

KJ is very good. I love Davis, but experience is the only thing keeping him ahead of Britt.
Gonna be really interesting to the LB depth chart once Williams, Atkinson, and D Davis leave after htis season. Gonna have a lot talented guys for really only two spots.

That’s a bold statement. I honestly think with Davis losing his extra weight this year, he turns into a serious Sunday guy prospect. Great college player regardless assuming no injuries.

KJ is really fvcking good. He's been the best LBer this summer. Look, Davis is my favorite player on the team, but KJ is on another level from everyone right now.

Not to be a smartass, but if that’s true, experience shouldn’t matter. I have a really good connection at that position. I’m interested to see how it looks this fall.

I've always though Richard McBryde was pretty damn good. Probably too good to be sitting on the bench as a senior so it wouldn't shock me if he grad transfers after this season

Experience matters. Not being a smartass, but you are wrong on your assertion.

I mean, his arms are thicker than everyone else's thighs. It's pretty ridiculous how big he is. And it's not like D Williams or D Davis are tiny dudes.

He's been killing it in the weight room and during 7-7 this summer. He's out working everyone in that group and that is saying a lot, because everyone in that group has an outstanding work ethic.

KJ showed flashes last year, but I also saw him take the wrong angle on run fits several times against bad teams in mop up duty. The assertion that it is only experience keeping him behind Davis is a little silly. Davis is not great in pass coverage, but tackle to tackle in the run game he is really really good. 7v7 and the weight room are good indicators, but in the SEC your MLB's first responsibility is going to always be in the run game. That being said, Britt is obviously extremely athletically gifted and if he gets on Deshaun's level in the run game then you could be right about the experience comment.

I think we'll be fine. Hell, George almost transferred to Pinson Valley to play with Bo. Bo Nix the is the most important player in this class, because all the offensive skill guys in the south think Bo is a stud.
That's good news from a leadership nothing. Hope he's legit as a college QB

Correcting run fits and angles comes with practice and game "experience". I'm not at practice every day, so I'm only going by what an Auburn coach is telling my friend. Maybe the coach is full of shit. Twill is young, so maybe he doesn't know what he is talking about?

LOL, it feels like football season already.
