What does Keef say about Pappoe knowing about some future commits??

Can’t read
"I'm not going to say who, but I got two commitments," Pappoe said.

Which players might they be? Offense? Defense? Pappoe isn't talking, not wanting to ruin any moments.

"They'll find out this month," Pappoe said.

Pappoe's pitch?

"I'm just telling them, 'Come be apart of something special -- be different,'" Pappoe said. "Everybody wants to go to Alabama. Everybody wants to go to Georgia. Be different, come to Auburn."

Pappoe, the No. 9 overall recruit nationally in the industry generated 247Sports Composite, committed to Auburn over Georgia on May 1. Pappoe is one of three high-profile Tigers commits at The Opening, joining 4-star quarterback Bo Nix and 4-star receiver George Pickens. According to Pappoe, other recruits have taken notice of them."

"They're seeing big-time players like us making that move and they're thinking, 'Maybe I should consider. Let me go check them out,'" Pappoe said.

Pappoe continues to predict Auburn's 2019 class will be one fans will like. Right now, the Tigers have 12 commitments and the No. 17 class ranking.

"I told you last month, we're going to have a top-five class," Pappoe said. "If (fans) believe what I said, they shouldn't be surprised."

This week in Texas, is enjoying himself.

"It's been great," Pappoe said. "Everybody knows I've been here for three years --by far this is the best year."

As for splitting his trip between competing and recruiting, he noted, "I've got time for both."

I can’t decide if he’s trying to say he got 2 more commitments or he’s just got 2 silent which would be Curry and Jones since they announce this month I believe

Monday's top performers from The Opening: Southeast

Four-star quarterback and Auburn commitment Bo Nix (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley) may be the quarterback in the region we have seen most over the years but in just about every setting he is the most consistent and efficient passer in the building. It’s been more of the same among the best at The Opening Finals to the point it would be a slight surprise should his squad not take home the title tomorrow. Nix (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley) completed 70 of 94 passes (74.4 percent) for 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.

- Five-star linebacker and Auburn commitment Owen Pappoe made an impressive pick-six, intercepted another pass, and had six pass breakups, tied for the lead among all players. Quite often, testing numbers do not translate as well to the field, but, in his third appearance at The Opening Finals, Pappoe has showcased his impressive athleticism by making plays all over the field.

-Four-star wide receiver and Auburn commitment George Pickens (Hoover, Ala./Hoover) may have split targets with Haselwood, but he was equally impressive on the day, making 14 catches while hauling in five touchdowns. His ability to climb the ladder for the spectacular grab rivals any receiver in the country.

Nix is dominating again today. He seems like the only elite 11 QB who isn't to chicken shit to throw it deep.

I watched that Rattler kid and while he seemed good he threw like 10 straight underneath or routes to the flat.

I can't imagine his receivers were too pleased with that.

Pickens has been taken care of. He is going to Auburn.
Good. Glad to know we’ve pulled our heads out of our asses and are playing the game at (at least) certain positions.

This pleases me. Pickens is a MegaStud.

God help us if we pull Haselwood too.

Also, v happy to hear Nix is impressing with his ability to drive the ball downfield with little effort.

Pat Nix in ‘94 was a large reason I became an Auburn fan. Would love for his son to lead us back to the Promised Land.

It would be a cool story. Especially since Pat truly loves AU.
Also, I have to believe Gus 49 million contract is, at the very least, helping with this class. Tougher to negative recruit against.

I could negative recruit like a mofo against Gus
You think it would be easy, but I'm not sure I'd be great at communicating with the recruits these days. They were born in the 2000's after all. I'd be like, "Auburn is great and all if you want to play in a hayseed town and trust your NFL future to Rain Man." "Who's Rain Man?" "That autistic fellow that counted cards in the movie." "Oh, you mean Forest Gump? He went to Bama, right?" "No. FML."

A little nugget. The younger Nix is a stud and I'm hearing Vestavia is looking for a package deal. If you get Pat, then you get the youngster. Look for Vestavia to be very interested in hiring Pat Nix next year.

I've heard the same thing. Florence tried to pay him a lot of money to get that package deal.

So you think the other top 10 classes over the past 10 years were free? Lulz

If we’ve been playing the game all this time, then Grimes is an even shittier recruiter than we all thought.

That’s actually an impressive level of horrible.

So you think we got the other guys for free? Get off Grimes for a second. You said that you were glad Auburn "finally" started playing the game for guys like George. You insinuated Auburn just started for guys like "George". FYI, George is a WR.

I can’t see how we go several consecutive years without signing a legit QB or OT if we really are “playing the game” at the level of our rivals.

There may not have been more impressive quarterback from start to finish at @TheOpening than Bo Nix. The #Auburn commit made a ton of big-time throws all week. Here is footage from his work during the 7-on-7 portion of the event. https://247sports.com/Article/Bo-Nix-an-Auburn-football-commit-puts-on-a-show-during-The-Opening-Finals-119595843… @bo_nix10 @247Sportspic.twitter.com/jU7m4p85kE
