******Official Boog Recruiting Thread******

Did you really just give him credit for Yeldon?

Yikes
I gave him credit for getting commitments from those guys listed and the success we had at the RB position even despite the Yeldon and JRob defections.

I mean, if you wanna see something really stark, you can just compare the accomplishments of the RBs Luper signed vs the ones Horton signed.

Dyer/Mason/CAP >>> Barber/KJ/Pettway

This is simply not debatable.

Dyer has to be the most overrated back in Boog history. Benefited mightily from playing along side Cam and that veteran OL. Couldn’t hack it anywhere else and didn’t sniff the pros

Yeah, if only it weren’t for the fact he ran for 1,200+ and 10 TDs at 5.1 YPC in 2011 with no Cam or veteran OL...

Be honest, were you in high school when he was on campus or do you just not watch Auburn football?

@MomentInTheSun, with all due respect, your opinion o fLuper's recruiting abilities and contributions is laughable. I'm not going to claim Yeldon as he was never coming to Auburn but the rest of @L I G E R's list appears spot on. Was he the best recruiter ever at AU? No. Were his contributions significantly more important to the program than Horton's? Absolutely, no way to argue against it without bending the truth.

I actually provided facts and context and then you guys are just st pushing a really tired narrative. Keep pretending to be experts that predict 8-4

Tell you what, you find me 4 players who Horton recruited who were as impactful for Auburn's program as the combo of CAM, Dyer, Mason and CAP and you win.

You provided a combination of fact and bias. Luper brought in some of the most impactful players in AU history. That's the fact that matters in this conversation.

There's no reason to make this your hill to rice on.

Tons of young studs on campus for this affair. Seems like the (apparently) #1 Buck Target is on the verge of committing

I clicked on this because I thought it was the b-ball recruiting thread but now I’ve gotta ask... why the OC talk? did Chip quit? or is he expected to leave at the end of the season?

OMG, if Chip leaves no one worth a damn will come work for Gus. They'll take one look at the OL depth chart and the QB depth chart and literally laugh as they say, "no thanks". If we'd just run Chip's offense we'd at least be better than the last few seasons, but we're gonna suck ass until we fix the OL....which ain't happening under Grimes. ****.

I'm really digging this new D&G @cookedw.

It has been this way for 2+ years. The 2016 A&M was the final straw for me with him.

Im a self admitted glass half full guy on almost everything, but I can't do that with Gus. Even if he came back and won out his year, I would still expect next year to fall apart. I would need multiple years of not Gus'ing it up to ever think about getting back on the Gus train.

Last year's LSU is what permanently drained my spirit.

@Slippin Jimmy - don't you dare bad mouth Butch.
Convinced a draft eligible spitcher to turn down a lot of money to come back.
Got us to Supers for what the 2nd time ever?
Took a kid not drafted out of high school and turned him into the #1 overall player.
Has quickly raised our talent level from that no good Sonny.

I will not stand for this blasphemy.
