I used to get excited about football commits. Now I don’t care anymore... like at all. If I see a commitment on Auburns board, I get bummed that it’s not basketball
I only have enough in me to follow one sport in recruiting. And I totally switched to b-ball. Can’t be stalking to many teenagers

The good news is the Boogs are supposed to get another stud linebacker on Friday named Trenton Simpson from North Carolina. This other kid is actually ranked higher by a lot of recruiting experts. The other kid is so good that North Carolina fans are having a meltdown about his upcoming commitment to the Boogs and they are claiming we must have paid him

I haven't seen it myself, but I have read on other Auburn boards that the North Carolina 247 sports board is melting big time over this commitment and throwing out all kind of speculation about Auburn cheating. This apparently includes Auburn using escorts or some type of females to have sex with recruits
We treated them like escorts in basketball and baseball and they mad because we didnt call them back

A wide receiver named Zavian Capers announced he was committing on July 1st. Everyone expects it to be Auburn.
He is 170th in the Rivals 250. He is like 120ish in the 247 composite. Wide receiver is probably the strongest position in our recruiting class. Two other kids ranked even higher than this kid.
Everybody talks about T Will, but Kodi is another guy we might need to keep after Gus is gone. He will always be one of my favorite players just because of his positive attitude after quarterback didn't work out.

I was highly skeptical when he came on board, especially with the ridiculous salary and title, but Kodi seems to pull his weight.
That Hoover QB Robby Ashford just committed to Ole Miss. I knew the Boogs and UGA were really high on him last year. Sounds like he's a stud baseball prospect too and will play both sports at Ole Miss. Wonder if that's the reason he's going there or if other teams just cooled off
He seems to have hit his stride cruiting some solid WR’s. Hoping Cadillac does the same. Seems like we are in need of some stud RB’s, but it looks like we are not in it for any of the top guys this year.

Wesley Steiner has committed to Auburn. As much as people dislike or are skeptical of Malzahn including myself, he is starting to put together a pretty solid recruiting class. Think this commitment puts Auburn up to 12th nationally on 247 sports composite
