who here didn't celebrate that victory?

What were people's thoughts on Nix's dual threat ability?

No Nick Marshall of course, but much better than Stidham, I thought

Not sure if it was the TV coverage, my perception of reality or if Auburn was really disjointed on offense save a few plays here or there. So Nix definitely didn't look like Stidam scrambling for his life, he seemed to be more capable dealing with the pressure and his build seems more stout than his predecessor.
These next two games need to shake out all the crap on offense, both plays and personnel, then i think we'll start to see what kind of dual threat guy he is. If we can get a couple of backs going and get opposing defenses on their heels then Nix can start showing what his arm can do. If they can't get the run game rolling and pass protection keeps breaking down we may be better served getting Joey more touches so that Bo doesn't end up in a body cast.

For people arguing whether we were lucky or whatever, Auburn scored the last 21 points. We obviously did better on both sides as the game went along.

Carlson also missed a field goal early that could have eliminated the need for the late heroics.

Saying all that, we obviously need to get off to better starts.

We also faced obstacles with travel that didn't help the need for preparation and rest.

We still need to run the ball better. Might have to incorporate some quarterback runs

Did the announcers say anything about Steele being on the field instead of in the booth last night? I like the move myself.

I couldn’t really comment until after I watch the replay but he’s got a bright future if he’s used properly. Still a long way to go for now it appeared but he’s very talented.

I will say it took Nick a couple of games to adjust to real game speed. He looked like a 4.8 guy a few plays early and then when the lights came on, he looked like a 4.4 guy. Bo should get better every series he plays.

I mean I take the W but we looked like ass and the whole game was miserable to watch for at least 59 and a half mins. Lol at Oregon just giving us a dub.

Was a lot like the TA&M game last year for me.

Way stronger arm than Sean White. A better runner too. But less accurate for now

I thought he threw one of the most catchable balls I’ve seen in an Auburn quarterback in a long time. 13 of 31 sure but he actually threw it away. He was under pressure all night and only got sacked once.

Stidham would have been sacked 6 times maybe more

Yep. Someone on Bunker tried to say he looked like another Sean White. Looks to be more athletic and much better arm to me

I wouldn't say he looked more athletic, but he definitely looked like he has a better body to be able to run some. Also, Sean White threw deep balls like a goofy dick falling down and shit, Nix is smooth on every throw. I am excited about Nix's future, but I sure wish someone other than Gus was coaching him.

The thing I like most about Nix is that hopefully he's been coached for so long by good coaches, particularly at the QB position, that Gus can't ruin him now. That's probably just me pumping sunshine and wishful thinking.....but at this point it's all I have.

A couple of other things that stood out:

Owen Pappoe is gonna be a stud. Made several impressive plays in his first game

Deshaun Davis ran a 4.75 and Daryl Williams ran a 4.9 in their NFL workouts last year. New linebackers definitely have more speed

Britt killed someone.

Been reading all of these comments about BO II, and I’d like to leave a couple. There once was a QB that threw 7 interceptions against UTK in his first year of eligibility. The next year, another QB chucked up 5 in his first year of eligibility in Knoxville as well. At that time, you couldn’t play until your Frosh year, so they both had been in the system for a year. The following year, Pat Sullivan & Archie Manning had an all out duel in the Gator Bowl & showed the nation what kind of QBS they were.
In a nutshell, BO was phenomenal with the resources he has in place. JMO of course, but I’d like the opinion of @CJ3131

Gents, congrats on the win against Oregon! It may not have been a thing of beauty, but a win is a win. You have to love the poise Nix showed on that last drive. The kid is a gamer who plays with a lot of moxie.

Thanks but you are on the wrong board. This site is restricted to only, "The sky is falling" type posts. But thanks again.

My buddy heard Mark Murphy speak at the Auburn K club. He said Bo was one the five fastest players on the team and said the qb race wasn’t close at all. The only thing Greatwood had on Bo was his size.
