I mean what are you supposed to offer the Unsullied though? They can't do anything other than fight in that world where "Houses" are the way things work. He threw a Hail Mary at them but I'm not sure what he was supposed to do there. They obviously aren't motivated the way everyone else is.
I'm not nearly as mad as everyone else because once it was clear that the writers were bailing on this to do higher paying work it was going to be weird. And this was never a happy story where everything ends well and your crew get to celebrate. I also have no problem with Bran "winning" the throne because the throne sucks and the idea that the person that rules KL is the winner is honestly hilarious at this point. It drove the Mad King mad and lead to a rebellion. Robert was absolutely miserable with it cause he had a to marry someone he hated in order to get there and he really just wanted to hunt and drink and fight, not rule. Joeffry got killed over it. Tommen killed himself from it. Cersei spent all her time drinking wine and being surly, then having to deal with fighting off dragons because she stubbornly wanted to keep it in the fam. It's a terrible, horrible, no good job. I'm not sure why Jon fans want Jon to have it or Sansa fans want Sansa to have it. The moral of the Iron Throne is that it kills you and you don't enjoy anything about life
Jon ended up exactly where he needed to be. He wasn't the type to rule in the 7 kingdoms. He's admirable and good but he's too naive to the politics and he'd end up being crushed because of it. Arya needed a better avenue but she was always leaving Westeros to go look for something else, that's who she was. Dany deserved to die, she basically became every historical villain who believed they were born to change the world but just murdered anyone who disagreed with their vision. Sansa has been arguing rightly for an independent north for a long time now. She's been mentioning how the north had been on it's own and how every time they get involved in KL it goes poorly. I have no issues with her demanding independence or being the queen there. I don't care than Bran is on the throne because the throne sucks as alluded to before. I don't view that as him winning at all. Any and all complaints I have about the high council meeting and other bad moments just come down to "they handcuffed themselves when they determined an end date with limited episodes". Nothing could be great from that point on. They could have run 2 seasons per year for 3 more years and barely gotten all the story in if they wanted to do it right. I see a ton of "this scene meant nothing I guess" today from people wanting every single breadcrumb to have had a huge impact on the endgame. Sorry, that's just not going to happen. They took an epic story, started it in epic fashion and then put a clock on it to expire. There was simply zero chance they could make every clue pan out in the end.
It was a great show overall though. Nothing keeps me interested for 3 years, much less 10.
