I think a lot of it is just a lack of character consistency that bothers me, and that includes the dragons. It’s like, when they need the dragons to be super badass unstoppable forces, then they show them as such. But then when the narrative requires one to go down, it just happens with a whimper just because they wanted to keep the story moving. Like I don’t mind the dragon dying, but getting pretty easily sniped and destroyed by a weapon that was already proven to be not that lethal against them was pretty weak. I think it deserved something a bit more creative.

Same with Arya. She’s almost established to be too powerful that when they decide not to use her in any planning in the next battle that it makes no sense. It’s like, Bitch killed the whole Frey family and now killed the Night King. Maybe consider asking her to do some assasin shit in Kings landing. It’d be way cooler if her skills were actually used as part of a plan instead of just Charlie style wild card baby

Good point with Arya. I mean given what we have seen from her, she could go assassinate the hand and then use his face to easily do the same to Cersi.

I'm not counting Arya out yet. Cersei said something about leaving the gates to KL open. Can completely see Arya sneaking in as someone else and, at the very least rids the realm of Qyburn or another of Cersei's key squad if not Cersei herself (maybe she offs Jaime, uses his face and offs Cersei).

Welp. There go the lannisters. Next week gonna be all about Danny and Jon resolving who's the rightful heir I guess. I like what they did to Arya's character but she should have had this empathy when her own people were dying in Winterfell like two episodes ago

can a fuggin dragon run out of fire or does it just have an infinite supply of that shit? Feel like they needed to set some boundaries with their capabilities and weaknesses
Prolly went on a bender the night before, drank a few hundred barrels of whiskey or something stupid...you know kids these days.

Still wonder if he will be enlisted by Tyrion as protection or to dispatch Dani or Grey Worm

Arya's development has been great IMO.

I thought the "Danny to Mad Queen" thing was probable after the last couple of episodes. Looking back further it should have been easy to see. She's always been on that edge and mostly avoided going full tyrant due to listening to advisors. She's basically got none now...she's pissed at Tyrion, Varys had to be cooked extra crispy, Jorah is dead and she watched her favorite advisor get her head lopped off. Her and Grey Worm both were in full rage mode and nothing was going to stop them from just killing anything in their path.

The only thing I'm really pissed at is Tyrion going from the smartest, most witty, sharp character on the show to some goob who can't get a single bit of strategy right and is literally misplaying every single hand because he can't judge anyones character, even if they are people he has known his entire life. I just struggle watching it. I'd rather he died at Winterfell in the fight than continue to see this TBH. And I also think it sucked they had Jamie stick around all this time just so he could hold Cersei at the end. WTH man. If that was his end I'd just as soon have Sansa or Arya or Danny sentence him to death when he showed up in the North. He was worthless for like 2 seasons I think. I was sure there had to be some real purpose to him still being around, but I guess it was all so they could have him knight the tall woman and bed her? Lame.

So the Bronn storyline was just fuggin useless and dumb. Never made any sense to begin with

almost all the characters could have done with 6 more episodes to flesh out their stories. Bronn is gonna be one that gets no ending at all probably. Tormund just disappeared beyond the wall I guess. I'm not even sure with 1 episode left that we get much more on prime characters like Sansa and Bran. Just gonna be Jon vs Danny drama and that's about it I guess.

On the one hand I enjoyed the episode, and even though I saw it coming I enjoyed the plot twist that Dany is going to end up being bad. OTOH, could have had a full season and wrapped up all the characters better. Also, sucks that Cersi didn't have a worse death.

Like 98% of the issues come from the dumb idea that they could finish this in 6 episodes. If they did another season or a 12 episode season this is all so much better.

That said, they didn't need to get botch Cersei's death. That wasn't a time constraint issue like rushing the madness on Danny or completely forgetting Bronn is a thing people were interested in. Cersei deserved to die alone, not in Jamie's arms. I also hated that briefly they made her feel not so horrible because Dany is out there going full Hitler on regular citizens for no reason at all. But give me the satisfaction of someone of note killing her. Can't believe they walked away from that and had it just be "oh the building collapsed on her and her brother she's done now".

I don’t mind the Jaimie arc that much. He’s kind of a self destructive addict that’s misunderstood and has redeeming qualities. But ultimately he just couldn’t escape the gravity of his addiction to Cersei. It made sense to me. I wish Cersei would’ve died another way though. Just having the buildup crumble on top of them kind of sucked. Wish they’d have gotten captured and then Dany could’ve forced Tyrion to kill them both to prove his loyalty. But whatever
